Acopa 5 Gallon Hammered Glass Beverage Dispenser

I use this container for brewing kombucha. It is perfect for this. It holds 4 1/2 gallons of the tea, is quality and looks beautiful. As other reviews stated though, the original spigot it comes with leaks. Order the Dozyant stainless steel spigot for $13 to replace it. (Here is the description so you can find the new spigot on Amazon: Updated More Durable Beverage Dispenser Replacement Spigot,Stainless Steel Polished Finished, Water Dispenser Replacement Faucet, fits Berkey and other Gravity Filter systems as well) This new spigot works great- no leaking. Just remember not to tighten it too much though or the glass may break. Do NOT use the original gasket that came with the glass container. I used that original gasket at first and it leaked. Use the one that comes with the new spigot. Use a 19 mm wrench to hold the nut on the inside of the container while you tighten the spigot with your hand GENTLY, on the outside of the container. I wish you well with this beautiful glass container. If you choose to buy it I think you will be very pleased with it.

The valve seemed cheap, so I replaced it as others suggested and am looking forward to using it this BBQ season and for events, will update review if issues arise. I see the glass around where the spout connects is essentially the same thickness glass as the rest. Thickening this area would make me feel a bit better. I may remove the spout when transporting just to be on the safe side. The lid just fits on, but there is no seal.

The plastic spigot did leak so had to purchase the stainless steel doyzant as suggested by another buyer’s review. Glad I did before my event so that I didn’t have leakage everywhere. Even so we placed these at the end of our table and the table held them well. The packaging was a little thing for the lid, it probably wouldn’t have lasted another day of delivery handling. I checked that right away and took removed from the box. I was hoping they wouldn’t arrive smashed. I bought two by the way. The glass is okay, it has a few scratches but I could live with the little marks. Overall, they were a hit at our event, refreshing for a lot of folks. We had about 40 guests and I didn’t have to refill with the four beverage dispensers I laid out. By the end of the party, I still had half or more in each beverage dispenser. I didn’t as I’ve to them during the party either to keep the water from becoming too watery. We had two ice buckets which we purchased from Target and refilled every now and then. It was a hit at our event.

The glass is great, thick, nice, but the spigot is plastic. I replaced my spigot with the "Service Ideas Inc. Spigot Assembly - 3 1/4" x 1 3/8" x 4 3/4", Polished Stainless" which only stainless steel and silicon touch the water, might replace the silicon with cork and the spigot I bought is NSF so it completely disassembles for complete cleaning.

I use this 5-gallon hammered glass beverage dispenser daily for my filtered water, and I absolutely love it. The glass design is functional and beautiful, and it holds a generous amount of water, so I’m not constantly refilling it. I did switch out the plastic nozzle for a stainless steel one, which works perfectly and feels more durable. Overall, I’d highly recommend this dispense, it’s practical, looks great.

I ordered this for a home where we can't drink the water from the faucet. We wanted something pretty but usable to hold water and refill regularly. I like that it is clear and you can refill the water from the top. It seems good quality. I did purchase the upgraded spigot- as recommended. I have not USED it yet- read other reviews for that information- but I love the look and am optimistic that it will work as expected.

Amazon and Beverage Dispenser manufacturer DID NOT TAKE PRO ACTIVE RESPONSIBILITY TO SEND A BREAKABLE ITEM WITH ANY PROTECTIVE PACKAGING WITHIN THEIR BOXING! This item arrived with 1 piece of strofoam 1/4;inch thick…it was just flopping around in box with the 1000 pieces of broken glass . The outer box was an Amazon box , thin cardboard not correlated , no inner protection ,nothing on outside of box marking Glass or Fragile. The box by manufacturer Acopa did not responsibly pack their glass product , no mark it as fragile,breakable either. THEN , AMAZON TOOK FOREVER TO REFUND,MADE US SEND BACK 1000 pieces of broken glass AND WE REQUESTED REFUND BACK ON ORIGINAL FORM OF PAYMENT , AND THEY PUT IT ON AN AMAZON GIFTCARD TO USE ONLY THRU AMAZON INSTEAD, THEN WE HAD TO CALL 5 times to finally talk to a real person AND INSISTED THE MONEY REFUND GO BACK TO ORIGINAL PAYMENT FORM . THIS ALSO WENT WITH THE SPIGOT ORDER SINCE WE DID NOT NEED ANYMORE ,,, I WISH WE COULD GIVE A NEGATIVE 100 for the worst after purchase customer service !!!!!!

It leaked a little at the spout from around the seal when i tested it but got a replacement for it from seller very quick. It’s beautiful. Have not yet used it for an event yet
