My mother in law used to make hers from scratch but most people are too busy to do all of that. This was the first time I have tried the Cheddar. It is wonderful and addictive. Be prepared to only get one handful for yourself if you are sharing. I think that you should try it first. If you love it and people are coming over, hide it while you can!! Cereal is fortified with some vitamins but I didn't see that on the back of this bag.
