Tamiya 74112 Fine Pin Vise D-R (0.1-3.2mm)

I do a Lot of work involving Micro Tools... and this Tamiya Fine Pin Vice (74112), is of very good quality and very versatile. I always get smooth, accurate holes with and without the pin vise. As far as how much torque I can apply... that of course is dependent on on drill bit thickness & strength... and for myself, I'm using it primarily for use on model trains, guitar electronics.. and have had excellent reliability with this tool... very handy. If you're in doubt of the quality, don't be... "IF" you use it for what it is intended for, it won't fail you.... the weakest component of Pin Vise Drills... are Always, the bits.... get the Best Quality bits you can afford, and you'll be good to go.

This is exactly what it says it is: a pin vise. And it's nicely made.It holds pins-like objects -- like drill bits -- securely so that you can you can poke things with them and so you can turn the pin while pushing -- to drill, for example. It holds the pins using collets, four different sizes of which are provided. With the correct collet, the vise can be made to hold pins ranging in size from nearly zero to about 3mm in diameter. The swivel at the top turns very easily while under load, making it a breeze to twist a drill bit while pushing it into a workpiece. Because the vise uses collets, it takes more time to configure it to grip different diameter pins than it would if the vise used an adjustable chuck of some sort, but the collets are lighter in weight, simpler and tend to grip the pins better than an adjustable chuck would.

After researching a variety of different pin vises and brands, I ultimately landed on the Tamiya fine pin vise. Its reputation definitely precedes it, and it holds up to its standing. The chuck feels highly secure, and it comes with a variety of collet sizes that take different drill bit sizes, even the micro ones! Any time I have tightened the chuck around a drill bit, the collet has aligned the bit perfectly in the center. It is adjustable and portable, ready for a plethora of projects in countless mediums. I highly recommend this pin vise.

The Tamiya pin vise is so smooth, the best pin vise that I have had. I use this mostly drilling styrene plastic, like for adding small wire hand grabs to HO scale rr rolling stock and other details. So easy to use, being so smooth the pin vise does not jump and break bits like my last pin vise ! This Tamiya pin vise works equally well with wood and metal as well. Really worth the money to buy this pin vise, you will be very happy with the results !I highly recommend the Tamiya Pin Vise !

I have purchased several pin vices in the past with limited success. They wear out quick and don't hold securely so I decided to spend a little more and purchase this tamiya brand. What a world of difference. Perfect size and adjustable to many bits. No Sharp edges and perfect alignment. Heavy duty with a feel of a quality tool that will last a very long time. No more cheap china pin vised for me.

Good quality for the price. 4 collets to cover a range of shaft sizes.

It was a little more pricey but it is very nice and it will go down to the smallest size bit you can find. Well made.

It's a pin vise that works well, nothing really more to say

グリップがとても良く使いやすい。今までゴムが付いていないタイプを使用していましたが、長時間使用でも指が痛くなりません。おススメです！ただ、ピンバイスが定期おトク便でも買えるのにはちょっと笑いました。定期便でピンバイス...どんな業種の方が利用するのかな？^ ^(追記)あまりに使い易かったので追加で購入しました。その際 皆さんのレビューを読み返してみると記載の太さが入らないとか 細いのが掴めないとか...いいえ、間違えなく0.1〜3.2まで使えます。チャックは4種類 (両端に1本づつ、さらにそのそれぞれの両側に1種類づつ)あり記載の寸法は全て掴めますよ。両端を開けてそれぞれ引っこ抜いてみてくださいね^ ^

I only bought this for one very specific job which it did fitted with 0.8mm Tamiya drill bit.I'm not into miniature modelling or such but reviews of other cheaper pin vices put me off them.Quality product I would say.

Buon utensile costruito con buon materiale. Ottimo l'alloggiamento interno delle pinze di serraggio e la possibilità di montare punte fino a 3 mm. Prestazioni superiori alle aspettative.
