Very Nice Amp For The Price
I own a pair of 200-watt speakers with 10" drivers from AAL. While they sounded great driving radio from my receiver, there was low volume and noticeable distortion, when trying to drive music from a portable device source. My AAL 200-watt speakers are plugged into a Kenwood 500-watt 5.1 receiver. I generally have to drive the receiver up to 60% to 70% volume in order to make the sound loud, thats how much power these suckers need! At those volume levels however, when connected to a portable device, the distortion is so bad, that not only does it sound terrible, I was worried I was overheating the driver coils. There are 2-versions of this amp, the black version, and the white version. I chose the black version because I hate the color white, and besides, black just goes well with everything else. The amp came packaged very well in a cardboard box with foam padding. Inside the box are the amp, stereo patch cable, mini-plug adapter, and switching PS-adapter. The amp has got some weight to it, 1.2 pounds. The amp is pretty small in size, which makes it easily portable. On the front panel, the power switch is integrated into the volume knob, I would have preferred a separate switch for convenience. There is a MP3 3.5mm jack and also a power LED. The back panel have both the, RCA inputs, and RCA outputs, as well as professional DIN connections. If the front 3.5mm input jack is used, it cancels out the rear RCA input. The Amp is rated to provide up to a 20-DB boost and takes a 150mv input signal and boosts it up to 2V at max volume setting. I am using the RCA line input, and I can tell you, this amp is not boosting all the way up to 20-DB at max volume, because if it were, it would blow my speakers. At the very most, this is providing up to 1-DB to 10-DB of boost. Depending on the volume of the song, can also impact the total of boost that you can get. While it would have been nice to have a little more power from the amp, for the money, I am actually quite pleased. At this price point, to have gold plated connections is unheard of! I like the black anodized aluminum casing, and the unit has quality rubber feet, so the amp won't move around. When running the amp volume at 3/4 to nearly max, and the receiver volume at 60%, I can get a considerable boost in sound. And all that noticeable distortion I told you about? Thats all gone! After running for awhile, the case was still cool, so that means the amp isn't running hot which is good. All in all, I am fairly pleased with this amp, it does what I want. 4 out of 5.

Volume in spades!
I installed this today in my barn audio system. It currently sits between a Miccus Bluetooth receiver and an Adcom GFA-555 200w amplifier. Previously with my Iphone at max volume, the stereo system would not get loud enough for party level volumes. Once I installed this booster, there is now plenty of volume available and much more than I would ever probably use. It solved my problem and saved me some cash by not having to drop $200 on a preamp receiver to gain more volume. I simply set the booster to a certain level (dial at about 3 oclock in my setup) and that becomes my Iphone's new max volume level. I have also downloaded the (EQ) app from itunes for my phone which gives me all the equalization control I could ever want. So far I am very pleased and find it to be a pretty good value.

Technolink TCC TC-780LC Stereo Line Level Pre-Amp
I bought this $50 pre-amp to stand in for a failed $1000 unit sent back for repair. I would judge that the Technolink could form the basis for a rather high quality but inexpensive stereo system. The device is certainly minimalist in design; and, in my opinion, simplicity is beauty. It has one set of line-level input RCA jacks and one set of output RCA jacks on the back panel. It also has what I think are called DIN connectors on the back. The front panel has one line-level input jack labelled Aux/mp3 and a volume control. In terms of sound, I find no fault with the Technolink, but I have not had an opportunity to compare it with my failed $1000 unit. The single set of input jacks is limiting, unless you add an additional source selection device -- I have a Radio Shack tape control center that has three inputs. The power supply is an external 120 VAC-12 VDC converter, which comes the the pre-amp. The unit remains at room temperature during operation, even for many hours. The only negative I have noticed is that the volume control is somewhat nonlinear in action, jumping the volume rather suddenly at about the 9:00 position. Not really a problem but noticeable. The 20 db gain is more than I ever use to drive my power amp to room shaking levels. Being used to a $1000 pre-amp, I miss the tone controls and other amenities; but the fact is that the Technolink provides everything I need and a lot of what I want. I could live with this as my only pre-amp. Recommended.

Very pleased and it has been working flawlessly
I used this to boost my TV audio line out signal , in order to be able to use a headphone amp. It worked exactly as advertised and solved the low input signal issue that was occurring with both my TV's headphone output jacks.I'm very hard of hearing(a lot of people seem to be buying headphone amps for this reason) and this combined with the headphone amplifier I purchased now provides the volume of sound I need (a lot).I bought two different headphone amplifiers and neither worked to my satisfaction until I boosted the headphone output signal with this device. Very pleased and it has been working flawlessly.

Great Help With Low Volume Mobile Devices
I had a problem - I purchased an external Bluetooth receiver to hook into my home stereo so I could listen to Pandora and Spotify and get some serious volume. The problem was, I had to turn the main stereo AMP up to an insane level to hear the music at any significant volume. The solution was this great little box. . . while it is not cheap (more than twice as much as the bluetooth receiver) it helped immensely by taking the volume from quiet to loud. It also has it's own volume control so you can tweak it to just the right level and the great news is, when you crank it up to it's highest level, it still has clear output with very little distortion. Again, not a cheap fix but the unit works great!!!.

this can easily cause distortion when turned up some
It works perfectly for me. However, this can easily cause distortion when turned up some. I boosted enough to not have noticeable distortion but a little extra from what it need distorts.Update, changed from 4 stars to 1 star. After a week or two, the unit has steadily become more and more noisy. I'm returning it and trying something more expensive
