It is VERY green. I could barely see any brown strands. The hay really does look like in the pictures! It's not dusty at all, which is great as I every time I ordered Oxbow hay it was incredibly dusty. As for how my rabbit likes it, she enjoys it so far but she doesn't go crazy for it. She started munching the little pieces that fell when I was transfering it to my storage bin, but I think she enjoys softer Orchard Grass more (what I assume is usually second cut) and this seems like first-cut so there are some harder strands. However there's also a good amount of seed heads that she is enjoying digging for. :) I'm pretty impressed with the customer service too. While it did take a while to arrive (about a week as opposed to Small Pet Selects two day shipping) it was packaged very well, so even if it had rained they hay most likely would have stayed dry. And I got a few emails inquiring about whether my order had arrived or not.
