one of the best thermal pastes out there! least amount of effort to applying & great cpu surface coverage
always have loved IC DIAMOND the diamond crystal paste is less complicated to cure and quicker and just as good as ceramic or other quality thermal greases but less messy. i've completely switched over to using this brand almost exclusively for my i.t. work. not that noctua and arctic silver and other good brands aren't good but when u read instructions on them about "curing" process... this is the easiest stuff. you can basically put it on and not worry about it.. if you're a stickler for that. some brands a paste say turn on the pc for this long and let it heat for this many hours repeating for 2weeks or a month to get all the particles heated and set properly for optimal performance. but this stuff just turn on it'll cure and set itself well without all that. also, this stuff is really thick and dry.... like super thick and tough. thats normal. and its not really a grease its like a sticky hard playdough almost. u can flatten it out with your thumb and pick up your mini pancake! but i like this product as well because with some greases or other products i put too much and it flows off the side (too much) or its not enough not covering enough and on the edges its thin and uneven sometimes. the IC Diamond on the other hand, i can put a dot in the middle, maybe pea size... (people tend to know more about why they hate things because they hate em. when you're in love with a pretty girl you may not know anything about her but that she's beautiful and eye/hair color. but when you don't like someone or hate a girl specifically... all of a sudden you know the tint of their haircolor and the exact vogue magazine page of their haircut and part of their history and life decisions as to why you hate them!!! like kim jong! so i hate peas therefore i know how big pea size is... so i really mean pea size when i say put a pea sized dot of this stuff on the cpu center. btw this means nothing to u or adds to the review therefore wasting your time ... tee-hee unless i made u laugh then enjoy the increased oxygen and neurochemicals that lighten up your mood) and not worry cuz its plenty of dense enough that when it gets squashed form the cpu cooler, it spreads good and fill crevices good and conducts good even if it doesn't cover the whole surface perfectly. i've gone back and looked at the thermal paste by removing the cpu and cooler and notice this product did have good coverage on the surface of the cpu. i've done that several times and seen different brands and i feel the IC Diamond does a good job with least amount of effort on my part. hope this is helpful ps: (btw it isn't super important to "cure" your paste properly honestly u can put it on and go and not really have too much trouble... but if youre a stickler and want to cure the paste right and put the right amount for optimal thermal conductivity)

Lucy in the Computer with Diamonds
Wait--that's not what LCD stands for? Anyway, this stuff is considerably better than any "something-or-other silver." I've been using ICDiamond for years now, long before it came to Amazon and love that it's here! I can personally vouch that the temperature drops are considerable. No I don't have specific numbers to give form my builds over the years but I can tell you that going from your typical TIM to this stopped my i7-3630QM from overheating. It would shut down after a few minutes of running even after cleaning all vents and ports. I even took ear-swabs with alcohol and cleaned every blade of the fan to no avail. I had recently moved so my stock of ICDiamond was in storage and I didn't have any idea as to where it was so I ordered some more. BAM! Instantly the processor was running cooler, the CPU wasn't struggling, and the fan stopped sounding like it was about to lift my laptop off the desk. No the previous TIM wasn't dried or caked on there, it was still moist and plentiful. This is very thick paste so can be difficult to work with. I warm up a small amount of water in the microwave and place the syringe into while I disassemble my computer. I then use an orange-wood stick (I think it's called a cuticle stick or something similar) to spread some ICDiamond around on the CPU and/or GPU. I usually put down a decent layer, thicker than other TIM but not excessively thick--remember this doesn't conduct electricity like silver does so don't worry about some squeezing out the sides. You don't have to be overly cautious with this stuff. It doesn't conduct electricity so if some gets on the transistors/etc. you'll be okay. Trust me you can't go wrong with this stuff--if you want actual numbers you can visit their website [...] (an average of over 8c lower on notebook CPUs). No I have not received this product at any sort of a discount--I wish I could get this stuff for free! IT'S SIMPLY AWESOME!

Worked well - Modified review based on manufacturer response and long-term use results
Original review: I had a lot of trouble getting this out of the tube. It came out far too thick, and stuck to the tip of the applicator. More ended up on the applicator than on my processor. I had to wipe it clean a few times. I finally got enough on the processor, but it was far from a smooth application. Although this may disperse heat better than a silver thermal paste, imperfect application likely counteracted those benefits. Modified review: Per manufacturer comments, heating the tube up likely would have improved application. I will likely use this product again, so that will be useful information next time. It would have been nice if there were some literature included that indicated this, so I can't give it 5 stars. After extended use, the product seems to have worked well. CPU temperatures dropped dramatically and I never had overheating problems after application. It did discolor the contact surfaces when I pulled them apart some time later; either it left residue or it scratched off the surfaces (likely the latter). This doesn't seem to have any noticeable impact on performance.

Ordered few months back, from iBhejo seller. Received the thermal paste on the day as said by expected delivery day. Original, Genuine, Legit, whatever you want to think. I have Samsung NP550P5C-S01IN laptop. this laptop was infamous for its heating issues when it came. It was impossible to game as temps will reach 99C in no time and the laptop will begin to throttle. Temps were same even after a thorough cleaning of the lap. And then some wise person recommended me try this thermal paste. And i applied it. The temps barely go above 95C under heavyload like games. I am really impressed cause when I bought this laptop, since day 1 always saw the temps reaching 99C while gaming but this thermal paste actually made difference.Happy to buy, worth the money. Directions : since i used it on laptop, just applied a dab of about 5mm in diameter. that is enough. place the heatsink back on CPU and GPU, the paste will spread out automatically by the pressure of heatsink and settle down. Do not remove heatsink to check if the paste has spread well or not, cause when you place back again, it might leave a few tiny gaps, then the paste will not be effective to its full potential. The Heat has to transfer from CPU/GPU to heatsink and thermal paste is the medium between them. Air gaps which you might leave, aren't the right medium for heat transfer. My laptop has horrible cooling design. if your laptop has good cooling design then after applying thermal paste, I am quite sure temps will be below 90C always, go for it if you can afford it. PS : Bought with Arctic Silver 1 and 2 cleaning kit from the same seller. Later I found it at cheaper price somewhere else. So better buy locally if you can find.

ICD7 is one of the most celebrated thermal paste giving consistent results; Linus uses ICD7 always as a baseline thermal paste. My MSI GL62 7RDX was overheating badly (~95 degree C on average, thermal throttling) ; I tried NT-H1, Cooler Master Master Gel Maker Nano and Artic Ceramique 2. The first two thermal pastes were pumped out very fast (within 2-3 days!!) on bare CPU die application; Ceramique 2 prevented CPU throttling but still temps were high ~mid 80 degree C. After realizing a thick , very viscous paste would help, I ordered this. It was thicker than expected and temps were unexpectedly very low ~low 70 degree C which is around 10-15 degree C improvement!!. This is a great paste and had been working without any pump out issues. But this scratches the CPU die and MAY VOID the warranty depending on the laptop manufacturer. I have noticed it myself. It is just a cosmetic issue, wont affect performance at all. This is a must if you have a system with warranty expired.
