Wow wow wow! I was already working on a project that required me to remove the bezel and when I saw the condition of the speakers, I knew I had to change them out! GLAD I DID!! The sound is amazing! I’m actually thinking of adding an amp with built in BASS!

Sound quality is great

Without adding additional amps or customizing the sound system, these speakers are better than stock. I tested one of the right side vs. the higher priced J&M Corporation FSPU-GL06-XT XT on the left side. As the Honda GL 1800 doesn't have a side to side fader, I had to listen carefully for any difference in bass and treble and overall sound quality. I couldn't detect any difference in volume or sound quality. Both were about the same. As the Show Chrome speaker has a MUCH larger magnet and is rated at 160 watts vs. 140 watts for the J&M and is coaxial I decided to go with the Show Chrome. Good speakers for the price.

I replaced a pair of J&M speakers in the front dash with these - significantly noticeable improvement in volume, clarity, and low and high frequency reproduction. I don't routinely listen to music while riding but I do route the navigation voice through the dash (via a bluetooth adapter to the aux input cable). The SC's speaker construction is substantially better than the J&M's - have attached a few pics so you can see the comparison in magnets/construction. Same mounting holes, same hardware, same connectors as stock. Recommend, especially over the J&M's, if you're in the market for replacement speakers. Hope that helps!

Received these today and installed them in about 20 minutes in my 08 Goldwing and I’m glad i did. Louder and clearer than the stock 17 year old speakers that came out. I did leave the old tweeters where they are but not connected because these new ones have their own tweeters. So far i would recommend these for Goldwing owners wanting to upgrade their front speakers and will update this review if my opinion changes.

Well I guess I was expecting much more than I got. The magnet size alone should have made the sound or volume much better. I don't know why Honda uses 3 ohm speakers. There are very few options for a better quality sound in this category, as I'm sure you all have found. I had the factory speakers first, then spent about the same amount for the JD's or JM I can't remember, tiny magnets. Slight difference in both. For a few decibel difference, is it really worth the money? I used some 4 ohm speakers for a while, no big difference. I come across this option, I see the size of the magnet and watched the videos for these. I am aware magnet size is not the only way to rate speakers, but it usually correlates to a better quality speaker or sound. So I bite, and get them, quick shipping, original packaging, Show Chrome has been my go to and my friends go to for accessories for our F6B's. I have not been disappointed as of yet on any of their products. I did notice a bit of difference when traveling on the freeway between 55-70 mph that I can hear slightly better, more clear sound at about the same level, about 19-23 on the volume. Still no bass at anything higher than 15 on the volume level and I insulated my boxes behind the speakers too. It distorts easily, and if you use your auto level when riding it can get distorted quickly when accelerating aggressively, I do use several different sources for my music. I rarely use the Am-Fm feature, mostly digital music streamed through a Bluetooth device directly installed into factory harness or the USB device in the left bag. I don't use the 3.5mm plug due to too much interference when charging my devices. There is a great Bluetooth device available through Goldwingonline.com $34.99. (https://www.goldwingonline.com/products/Goldwing_GL1800_F6B_Bluetooth_AUX_Audio_Input-1378-67.html) The speakers have good sound at modest levels and I'm sure the data you see in the videos online are valid, but they don't really translate to a huge difference in gain or quality of sound when riding, especially in windy situations or freeway driving. If you wear a full face helmet, forget it all together. I often result to putting on my 3/4 helmet with speakers and using my Scala rider Q3 for long distance riding. Since I have had the ability to test three different brands, I guess my answer to how I feel about these speakers is...muh. Do you have $100 to blow? I guess I did. Would I recommend them? No offense to the sellers or manufactures but, No. I would save your money and buy a good headset Sena or Scala for your helmet, or go big and spend the money for a conversion to a 2 or 4 ohm system with an upgraded amp in the bags and 3 way speakers in the dash and possibly the shelters on the sides. That is BIG money though, unless you can install it yourself. I myself, am saving up for the conversion. I'm all about valve for the money, and the value to me is just not there for these speakers. Sorry but my loss can be your gain, I'm in this venture over $300 with all speakers purchased and yet no value was found in any of these options. So there it is. Like it tell all my Harley friends, it doesn't matter what you choose to ride. Shut Up and Ride!! Stay safe.

They were installed on my bike just the other week... incredible sound quality. I do have them amplified thought a headset amplifier I bought on here between the aux chord and the Bluetooth receiver I've stored in the side box though. Can't image the speaker being any worse without the amplifier though. A truly top product. 100% happy.
