This book, however, needs major revision. It contains just too much misinformation.For example,* the author indicates that the word "coffee" refers to the beverage, the coffee plant and the coffee bean.No. Coffee is the beverage, the coffee plant that produces coffee cherries (and beans). The coffee bean is the coffee bean.* The author states that there are two different types of coffee plants. No. There are many more than two. Some experts have stated that there are about 100 different species of coffee plants.* The author states that there are 2 major types of coffee that you can purchase. Huh? Only two types?* The author states that there are three kinds of coffee grinds. No, there are more than that.* The author discusses how coffee differs from espresso and how coffee beans differ from espresso beans. No!!! Espresso is a way of preparing a coffee beverage.I'll stop there. I suggest that the author start working a a second edition (after learning more about the topic). ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Compact but full! *by S***Y on Reviewed in the United States on April 28, 2019* This little book is packed full of interesting information about coffee, from growth, production, to roasting, and drinking. There is a little bit of history, and even some recipes. It's a great, quick read for anyone that is interested in coffee, or just wants to know a little more about what's out there (and dare I say, it's perfect to read while drinking that cup of joe?) It lists all the different types of coffee and differentiates the characteristics. It was a little repetitive in the beginning, particularly where the types of coffee were listed out, then a few pages later they were listed out again with more detail. I would have preferred to get all the details about each coffee in one chunk as they came up. But all in all, an interesting read, and I gained a bit more of an appreciation for coffee, even though I am not a big coffee drinker myself. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ everything you need to know about coffee, from bean to cup! *by M***A on Reviewed in the United States on October 21, 2019* As someone who drinks multiple cups of coffee everyday, I thought I knew everything I needed to know. I love that the author included the processes on brewing & roasting your own coffee, & provided helpful tidbits of information & tips/tricks - I have always been the type just to stop somewhere on my way to work, but this makes me want to attempt to roast my own! This was such an interesting read & I can’t believe how much information I gained from this book.
