Alot of testing went into it and troubleshooting went into it... This chip's wifi undoubtably works flawless, beautiful..ect... Bluetooth does work as well... Alot of people using this probably don't realize though, being a doubled up adaptor, it probably won't work in your laptop. Some laptop PCIe cards have a USB built in... kinda hard to explain, and thus most will have a switch of some kind... such as a physical switch or combination of keys on the kb. If your PCIe slot does not support this feature the BLuetooth will not work for you. In some cases there is also an option in the bios to activate this as well. I am using an Intel DH77DF mini itx board. This board does support this feature. When I disable the device via Device manager, I hear the duh dah noise as if a USB device was removed, and when I enable, same deal... I only have 1 issue w/ it... The bluetooth works great, all my devices pair up and work. The only thing that I couldn't get to work is... I have the Galaxy Note II, I want to use my computer's mic and speakers as a bluetooth device. I see that Hands Free device install when its paired up but I can't seem to activate it. I can do music... download PIM data and transfer files... I noticed that there really isn't any software for it as well (to control music or act as a bluetooth headset) not even the generic Microsoft driver does it. I am still looking into it I am sure at this point that the driver package software doesn't work with windows 7 as I read in a thread somewhere that another person had the same issue and they used an XP shell in windows 7 so it works in Windows XP. I wonder also if I am doing something wrong... I installed a cheap Broadcomm device in the mean time... Review: Great upgrade - Used this to replace an old Atheros card in an Asus laptop that didn't like working with Linux. Works great. Much faster.

Buyer Beware
Unfortunately, many of these chips have problems with Bluetooth - which happened to be the primary reason that I purchased it in the first place. To make matters worse, Intel refuses to support them and/or provide any sort of fix for the problem, stating: "Please note that these network cards are intended to be installed by OEM professional technicians only, Intel does not support the installation or upgrade of the Wifi network cards by end users." ([...]) This is very disappointing and a complete cop-out on Intel's part. The wireless portion works just fine, but if you're expecting Bluetooth, be prepared for at best a struggle and very likely nothing more than a lot of wasted time to show for it.

Easy install, works great
I added this to my ASUS VivoBook S400CA. I wanted the Intel Wide Area Display technology so I could send my audio and video wirelessly to my smart TV. The installation was easy. This VIvoBook has a chip that uses two antennas (the smaller 11" model does not). When you disconnect the old chip, pay attention to antenna "1" and "2"--you don't want to hook the wrong antenna to the wrong lead on the new chip. In any case, the installation was easy--as simple as installing additional memory. Best of all, the Wide Area Display works great!

Connects like a charm
I bought this with some trepidation, but was pleased with the performance and the fact that Windows 8 Pro had the drivers for it. The Wi-Fi side of it is somewhat more sensitive than the HP card that came with the laptop and the HP card did not have Bluetooth. The Bluetooth side of this card is phenomenal. The range is consistently over 30 feet from what ever device I choose to pair with it and I haven't found anything yet that doesn't connect. I am very happy with this purchase.

2 cards 2 laptops
Purchased 2 of these for my laptops, First was a Toshiba Satellite L755D-S5130 running windows 7 64bit. Got a black screen an wouldnt do anything at all. Second lsptop is a Gateway M-6848 running windows vista 32bit. Boot up fine, spend 2 hours going thru intels horrid website getting multiple drivers only to have not one discover the card. Last driver I tried was actually a windows xp driver, it found an set up the card but no bluetooth. When I restarted the machine it froze in cmos an wouldnt reboot until I removed the card. JHE Technology was an excellent seller both in communication and in fast safe shipping and both cards do function. Unfortunatly Intel has lost a customer after this. When I had the card running on the gatewat laptop before restart I ran several speed tests and it preformed well so if you can get it working in your laptop I have not doubt you will be pleased...

Nice Upgrade for Aging Laptop
I bought this for my four year old Dell Inspiron 1545, primarily to have 802.11n. My download speed is usually double to triple what it was with my stock wireless radio. Bluetooth, Wifi Direct, and 5 GHz are nice features. Easy to install, then download the appropriate drivers and software from the Intel website. A quality product at a good price.

Wi-Fi Works, Bkuetooth Does Not
The Wi-Fi works, and detects my 5G Connection, but the Blue Tooth is flaky, It detects my devices, but will not connect to them because it says there are no Bars. Since I mainly wanted a duel band Wi-Fi receiver mainy, I will keep the chip, just wish there was a way to make the Wi-Fi work preopely.
