Curt hitch receiver 13241 - Class III -
This review is for the Curt receiver 13241 application to my 2012 Nissan Frontier Crew-Cab Long-bed SL. I cut the box the receiver came in to lay flat so I could use it as a mat to lay on. This is my second Curt hitch receiver. The first was for a Mazda Tribute. As expected, this receiver is massive, accurately made, and finished well with a thick coat of black powder coat. This is a heavy item (for me) weighing in at 45 pounds. Still, it was easy to put on by myself, and I am 70+ years old. The bolt holes were accurately drilled, and the Nissan came with weld nuts already in place. The six bolts came with thick conical washers, which are designed to exert pressure on the bolts as they are tightened. All it took was lining up one bolt hole and start a bolt, then do one bolt on the other side. The rest is easy. Probably the hardest part, besides getting the first bolt on, was torquing the bolts to 65 foot-pounds. There was one bolt partially obstructed by the exhaust pipe, that required a knuckle joint on the socket wrench. That's all there was to installation. the only tools you will need are a 3/4" socket and driver (or 19mm), a 6" extension bar for the socket, a knuckle joint, and a torque wrench set to 65 foot-pounds. You could just use a 3/4" (19mm) box wrench. On the Nissan Frontier, the receiver was jut a little inside the rear-most edge of the rear bumper, with maybe less than 1/2" clearance below it. I set a 2" hitch into the receiver with no problem. However, a Texas "tailgate" hitch cover, which extends 3" beyond the hith cove shaft, would not fit because the rear edge of the bumper interfered (the receiver was recessed a little too much under the bumper.) All-in-all, the Curt hitch receiver more than met my expectations, and I would recommend it to my friends.

Solid Product
Seems to be of solid construction with good welds. The bolt holes lined up perfectly on my 2022 Frontier. The only issue I had, which did not involve this product, was needing to re-tap the threads on one of the holes on the frame due to corrosion. Had it not been for that, it would have taken 20 minutes to install. My ball hitch also fitted smoothly into the aperture.

I was shocked!
I've always been skeptical about any product for a vehicle that stated "easy install." ....Until now! This unit LITERALLY TOOK ME 5 MINUTES TO INSTALL. A couple of the reviews here mention that it's heavy...and I'm glad it is! Would you seriously want something attached to your vehicle that is pulling a couple of thousand pounds to be light duty??? Not me. This tow package balances perfectly on a floor jack, it lined up just right with the frame rails and bolted right up using the six supplied heavy duty bolts and washers. I couldn't be happier with this product and I HIGHLY recommend it for anyone looking to save some money and do it yourself. Freakin' awesome product!

Perfect fit but packaging is terrible
My experience was the same as others have reported. The hitch itself is great but the packaging for shipping was awful. Mine was supposed to be delivered by USPS on a Saturday but wasn't. The delivery status was something like "delivery attempted will try again" but I was here all day. When I checked the status on Monday it said the item was damaged so I wasn't sure if it would be delivered or not but that afternoon the mail truck showed up with a box totally mutilated. The hitch had a few scuffs and one small scrape but otherwise was okay. So other than arriving two days later than expected all's well than ends well. It was easy to install by myself - I propped one end up on a stool and lifted the other end into place and started a bolt, then lifted the other end an started a bolt. Some others said the holes in the washers were not big enough but mine were okay. The hitch is sturdier than I anticipated - I got it not really to tow but to attach a"load extender" for hauling long loads which I was afraid it might not be strong enough for but the hitch seems plenty strong. I wish I had taken a picture of the box to post.

Get ready
This did fit my frontier but I had to put a racket strap on it and hook the strap to a pole so I could get the holes to line up but after that puzzling moment it does perfect

Yes - it fits my 2019 Nissan frontier SL c6
I used a few blocks underneath the hitch to get it close to the truck frame’ welded nuts. Everything went together very well with one small tiny issue raised by some other reviewers – that the washers are too wide to fit in the small space. So – I will buy some smaller lock washers to use as an alternative. - in the meantime, I will leave the washerless bolts in place and just remove them one by one as I place my new lock washer

Nice hitch!
Nice fit and finish. It came with the hardware. If your truck has a few years of rust on it, do yourself a favor and buy an M12-1.25 tap, or thread chaser. I picked one up at NAPA for $10. It fits certain spark plug holes. Worth every penny. Once I cleaned the rust from factory nutserts, the installation took about 15 minutes by myself. Done.

Installation was ok, fit wasn't perfect but I did get all the bolts in without having to elongate the last slot. All hardware included. Negatives are the powder coating is terrible and will peel and flake over time. Sharp edges on the sheared plate means the powder coating doesn't coat well, there's almost none on the edges so this is where it will rust first. Must have been robot welded, lots of spatter that was painted right over, will lead to rust in the future. Great quality welding otherwise, no worm holes or other glaring flaws. Satisfied with the hitch for the price and would recommend.

Fits well. Easy to install with a jack to support

Fit well, fasteners came with it, no drilling required. The only issue I ran into was that the welded nuts in my truck were very rusty, and had to be tapped before install. The truck is a 2009, so to be expected. The tap is oddly sized, plan for this if your Frontier is old and rusty like mine.
