Another great book in the mike Matthews library
Another great book in the mike Matthews library! I jumped the gun on this one a little bit (i'm only 4 months in the original BLS book) but I cant get enough of these books. I have seen more results in the past 4 months than I have over the past 10 years! These books have taught me that even at 49 I can have a body I can be proud off, It's a good feeling to know that I have my next 2 years of exercise planning all set - Thanks Mike! And FYI if you can afford it jump over to the muscle for life website and spend the $77 for the meal plan - its well worth it and after only 4 months has gotten me closer to the body I never thought was possible!!

Good program
I have seen good results being committed to this program. There are several things that could make this more user friendly such as including the percentages and rep range goals in the heading of each week.

Very useful book.
Great book. The workbook and the actual book are a great pair with detailed info on nutrition and training. The workbook gives you a years worth of workout sheets to follow. Takes the guessing out of what to do at the gym.

5 Sterne weil ich ein Fan bin…
…ausgenommen „Little black Book of workout Motivation“ (siehe Rezension) Und dieses Werk brauchts eigentlich auch nicht. Auch wenn es inhaltlich natürlich passt und auch meine über 50 jährige Erfahrung im Kraftsport mit dem Inhalt deckt. Konzentriere dich auf große Übungen mach’s dir ordentlich schwer, trainiere kein „Versagen“ ein, erschaffe immer neue Plateaus und Kraft und Muskeln werden wachsen. Ich glaube, dass wenn man den Inhalt dieses Buches 1 zu 1 durchtrainiert, wirklich besser dasteht als zuvor. Wer aber genug Erfahrung mitbringt braucht das nicht. Beugen, Drücken, Heben, nicht mehr nicht weniger.

Read in conjunction with the Beyond Bigger Leaner Stronger book
I’ve started the first stage of this book and find it a good continuation of the first challenge even though I did the ladies book, thinner, leaner, stronger. It steps up the right level not to make it too daunting even though I’ve gone from a three day split to a five day and even after only a few weeks I can see improvements already. Too big to haul around the gym I photocopy each page and take the sheet round with me adding the weights as I do them. I can then use the book again to repeat next year.
