Great mic for the price
I needed a cheap mic to use with a laptop thru powered speakers to DJ a small party. This mic fit the bill perfectly. As previous reviewer Rockwell suggested, I also purchased a 3.5mm Stereo Male to 3.5mm Mono Female Adapter here on Amazon for 3.29 with free shipping, recommended so you hear sound from mic through both speakers. I was worried after reading some reviews about the mic sound being too low etc but after plugging into my laptop, Windows 7 asked what the device was I plugged in. I clicked that it was a microphone and I was off to the races. I did have to go into recording control for the microphone on the laptop to "listen to this device" and I had to click on microphone boost so I could hear it. With that I had my mic volume in Windows set at about 70 and I was LOUD. Loud and as clear as one would expect for a 10 dollar mic. Everyone I told about the price was impressed. As long as I kept the mic behind the speakers, I experienced no feedback whatsoever. The only negative was the delay between speaking into the mic and actually hearing it come out of the speakers, but I almost expected that going through a laptop. Not really the fault of the mic, just something that comes with the territory being a laptop DJ. If you are looking for an inexpensive all purpose microhone, this is a good starting point. I highly recommend it.

It works very well, just not for the job I bought it for.
I bought this to record to a computer and I tried two sound cards and it was not sensitive enough in that task. However I tested it on an amplifier and it was fantastic. It must have some circuitry to reduce feedback because this one gave no feedback at all no matter how high the volume was set on nearby speakers. My daughter used this as a vocal mic when she made a music video for YouTube and it out performed more expensive microphones. As a PC mic I would give it zero stars, don't be fooled by other reviews that say it works for that, BUT if you are looking for low price mic for stage use this performs way better than much more expensive microphones in places where feedback can be a problem. Of course this one does not use a real microphone jack but adapters are found both at Amazon and any good musical instrument store. On the other side of the coin, just plug it into an instrument jack and set the amp for clean.

Good Microphone for your needs
Bought this product for a ln after school program to use for presentations. The value for money was great, the weight is very light, and the cord could be a bit longer. The sound quality was good.

Worked brilliantly!!
This may sound bad but hey 5-stars!! A friend's Magic Sing Karaoke mic went bad. Turns out it was the mic capsule. I bought this microphone because it was cheap and unidirectional. When it arrived I immediately tore into it and removed the mic capsule and transplanted it in the Defective Magic Sing microphone. IT WORKED!!! As matter of fact it sounded better than the OEM mic capsule from Magic Sing. Great way to mod your karaoke mic and cheaper too.

Quality Budget Mic
I'm quite surprised at the quality of this mic for such a low price. I've used it on some professional gigs and they're easy to work with. They can sound a bit hot at times...but that can be squelched with the proper audio mixers and equalizers. You can use these for simply projects such as voice overs or just band jams.

Great Mic for Home Use.
I bought this mic to tutor on line. All my students can clearly hear me and I do not have any static or hum in the background. This is not a professional mic by any measure (cost or quality). I use to mix audio semi professionally. I would not use the mic for a live audience, church worship services, or any where your equipment must work regardless of what is happening. Spend the cash and get the Shure 58 for those circumstances. But for home recording, karaoke, Skype, and the like--this mic is perfect and your wallet will be happy.

Broke after two days
I bought two of these and hooked them up to a small amp for a New Year's Eve trivia party that I was hosting with a friend. It was just a friendly event so I didn't want to spend much. They worked fine the night before when I tested them. Decent quality audio. I packed them up and brought them to the venue. While I was setting up, I tripped over one of the wires and one of the mics dropped to the ground and landed on its head. It was dead. That one was my bad, these mics are pretty cheap so it's to be expected that they can't handle a drop, even one from only about a three-foot height. That was fine though, we still had the other mic. I figured we would just share. About five minutes later, my friend's mic just stops working. He had never let go of it and didn't even really move much at all. It just died. I didn't call to complain because I believe that if you decide to buy a cheap piece of garbage then you should be prepared to live with the consequences, but boy is this a CHEAP piece of garbage the likes of which I have never seen. It also feels really cheap and the cord was too short for me personally, although for some it may be fine. I'd say that if you do foolishly decide to buy one that you should handle it with the precision of a brain surgeon because one wrong move and it might just crumble into dust.

Great mic. I read the reviews before purchasing it, so my expectations were a 50/50 split, but I'm loving it. I ordered this mic so that my son could sing with my daughter on our karaoke machine, and I must admit this mic is way better than the mic that came with the machine. My daughter has already informed me that I need to order another one because she doesn't like her little brother having a better mic than her, lol. Great purchase!

This mic worked well for many years. The quality isn’t great but for the price it’s worth it.

I bought this microphone for $11, so I can't really complain about it, but what I will do is tell you how good it is. This microphone is pretty basic. Solo microphone, must be close to diaphragm to pick you up. It is a little quiet at times though. It does come with a 3.5mm to 1/4 inch converter so I guess I got that for $11 as I do not use the microphone anymore. I have replaced it with a better one and a soundboard. While I used this microphone I noticed that it lacked low frequencies. I have seen reviews that said it was great for karaoke machines, but I was using it for a computer and it was really lacking. A lot of static and background noise was heard. With that being said, I would recommend this to anybody looking for a cheap microphone that works. I use mine for talk back through the monitors in a sound studio. It works, easier than yelling through a sound-proof wall. The microphone itself should not be used for main vocals in a recording or without music behind it. Other than that I have no use for it.
