Very fragile rubbish. DO NOT BUY. I ordered 1 of these already & had to send it back because it was delivered damaged. It was completely destroyed. It was very difficult to return because of its size. I spent a lot of money just going to multiple return points in a Taxi through multiple towns & they all refused to take it off my hands. I ordered a replacement & that also came damaged. Now I have to wait for 2 refunds on 2 box fans. I’m going to phone Amazon to make a formal complaint & to get them to arrange a pickup from the delivery address because I can’t return it because ALL DROP OFF POINTS WILL REFUSE TO RETURN IT TO AMAZON.

When it arrived I thought it odd it was a two prong plug, not a standard U.K. plug. I assumed it was European so plugged it into a bog-standard two to three pin adapter. Big mistake Fan fuse blew. Further investigation showed it was a US device, with a US fuse that has blown. This means I now need to find a US fuse AND a US to U.K. step down adapter, in the hope that I can get it working again and haven’t fried the electrics. My advice to anyone in the U.K. looking at this would be to not buy it.

Using it for the "Corsi-Rosenthal box", it smelled like a funky plastic and i just thought that might be the purifier filters at first use, but turns out it's the fan motor or something burning till it cut itself off around 10 minutes.

It seems to work okay but the smells awful. I should return it but I hate to go through the trouble for a $20 fan; so I will run it til it dies and will post back when it does. I hope the smell goes away soon; I hope it wont start a fire. I normally buy Lasko at Walmart without issues...they just die after a few years. When I was young, our fans could be oiled and they lasted... UPDATE- 6/11/21- The smell went away in a few days and the fans are doing well. UPDATE- 6/12/25 - 4 years and I changed one star to FIVE. I noticed the fan was stopping quickly when I would shut it off; I took off the grate and found I could drip some 3-IN-ONE oil onto the bearings. It worked, the blades moved freely again. I drilled a hole in the center of the plastic grate so I don't have to remove the grate to oil it. To oil the other side, I still have to remove the blades and drip oil down the shaft.

I just love this Fan, it fits in my window and it circulates the air so I can sleep. It is also very quiet when it runs. Debi

This fan effectively blows a decent amount of air. The number 1 setting is like high setting on many other models. I find it too noisy to sleep with it, unless you don't mind the noise. I was not able to mount the 2 plastic feet to make the fan more stable. When I tried to get them on there was no possible way. One of them broke when trying to get it in to the slot. That foot is useless now because it can not be used if I was able to mount it. Too much trouble to return the fan. I will use it in a place where the noise will not be an issue. I will work out a way to stabilize the fan if it is falling over from the air velocity. One thing for sure, this fan does blow the air very well.
