Fast, durable, and awesome. And so easy!
I bought two of these 14 years ago. The second one has never left its packaging, because the first one is still going strong. Yes, really. I've used it at work often. People are amazed by it. "That's a thing?!" So much better than frozen dinners, and so fast. You definitely will want to have a hand towel or silicone pot holder handy, as it's hot enough to burn when it's done cooking. (Though why you'd give a low review score for that, I have no idea. OF COURSE IT'S GOING TO BE HOT!) It works very well when straining and the plastic is substantial. I've cooked a wide variety of pasta in it, including boxed pasta and fresh pasta. It always turns out really well. Can't beat it, and it's so inexpensive!

Impressed. Works well.
Not a fan of gadgets. Saw a review of this on a FB page I follow. Looked like it worked. Made 1 serving of pasta, came out great, al dente. Easy to follow instructions. Easy clean in DW, top rack. If you need to find recipes and how to cook other foods, you’ll need to search the net. Instruction pamphlet is limited to pasta. Does not take less time to cook, but no pots/pans, no watching. Strainer is built into lid. Very easy.

So easy to use, fast, and less clean up!
I am so glad I saw this on one of my feeds. I love pasta but hate to drag out the big pot and wait 10 minutes for the water to boil and then for the amount of time it takes the pasta to cook...and then having to keep an eye on it so it doesn't boil over (yes, butter on the rim and wooden spoon help) and keep stirring and checking to see if it's done. Now it's fool proof with no mess! Just use the lid to measure serving/s add the water and set the time according to chart provided, microwave, strain using lid provided, add water to rinse, strain again, and perfect pasta! Plus no strainer to clean! Wash and dry in 2 seconds and you're done!!! This might be the go to Christmas present this year!!!🎄🎁

Easy to use
Although I like this and think it’s great, the buyer needs to know that it only cooks 4 servings at a time. A normal box of spaghetti is 8 servings. So technically if you are serving 8 people you have to repeat the process twice which makes using the stove more convenient. If just making a half a box then it works great.

Best pasta cooking method I have ever used
This is the easiest and best pasta cooking item I have ever used! Thought it ridiculous to pay for a plastic container with holes in it to cook pasta but I was so wrong. Made angel hair pasta last night---so easy to measure the exact amount as I was cooking for myself. Excellent pamphlet that came with it told me exactly how long to leave in microwave. Easy to measure water. Truly one stop cooking of pasta as it turned out to be the best I have ever made despite using multiple methods.

It won't get you your own cooking show on the Food Network, but...
...it will make you feel like a super star when you have more time to work on that amazing home-made sauce recipe you have. :) Really, all you do is... - Measure the amount of pasta (macaroni, shells, lasagna noodles, angel hair, etc. - you name it!) - Add the water to the pre-determined and pre-marked fill line - Add a little olive oil and salt to taste (if desired) - Get that microwave buzzing. It really is that easy to use the Fasta Pasta and it makes great-tasting, perfectly al dente cooked pasta. The container is well-made of a thick plastic, but small enough to fit in almost any cabinet space you might have available. Now, I know what you're thinking, why pay for a plastic tub that you have at home that can do the same thing? I would urge you to check the materials it's made of. The Fasta Fasta is made with a plastic that is certified by the FDA (Food and Drug Administration) to be safe for microwave cooking. Is yours? I must admit, when I first set out to buy something similar to this item; I was determined to get the actual "As Seen on TV" competitor...why not? - It has a steaming rack for baked potatoes and vegetables - Measuring & stay cool handles - A mini recipe book So, the skeptic in me set off on the Internet research and I started asking some of your basic questions: Won't plastic melt in the microwave or give off that weird odor? Where's it made? Who actually makes it? Am I really going to use the recipe book and steaming rack? Here's where I landed... The Plastic - Not made with an FDA approved plastic material. (Source: No mention of this anywhere on the product website) Where's it made/Who actually makes it - The product is heavily backed/promoted by a large company that's also the creator of the "As Seen on TV" logo and promoter of a large assortment of other 'infamous' products. However, they also sell direct to wholesalers and resellers who may independently market these items as well. Most, if not all products made by this group, are more than likely outsourced to vendors overseas. (Source: no mention anywhere on the product website or it's promoter, indicates otherwise) What about a Steaming Rack for Veggies? - If you've taken a trip to your local grocery story (regional chain or large one with the smiley face) you've probably seen the already packaged "steam in the bag" for frozen vegetables. Why not? The cost is slightly more than your larger "cook it yourself" bag, but it's extremely convenient (for me, anyway). What about potatoes? - Make some holes using a fork or knive and microwave it on a papertowel or paper plate. How about the recipe book? - Considering I'm really only going to use this as an aid in recipies I'm already familiar with, why do I need a special book? Suggestions for Improvement: If they could laminate the cooking instructions card so it could be more durable, and use an alternative method to mark the pre-fill lines so they're easier to see -- that would be my only suggestions. Otherwise, it's a solid product and well worth the investment. In Summary - I really like the story of the product, the way everything is sourced and made in the USA, and the performance of the actual product itself. It really does work like it says it will. Most amazingly, you can get it for about half the price of the competitor (even if you factor in the Buy One Get One Free offer, not to mention the expensive shipping!). Tell me, what did you think? Please comment!

It works well for me.
I tried this for the first time this evening. I was using regular spaghetti. I made one serving as measured by the circular hole in the lid. I microwaved it for 13 minutes since I started with sub-room temperature water. It resulted in a nice al dente pasta. I would say that this was a success. I'm not sure how much time this saves, but it certainly makes it easier to do a quick single serving than dragging out a pot. Cleanup was as simple as rinsing the Fasta Pasta. I live by myself. I was previously making spaghetti in an Instant pot. The Instant pot would do a wonderful job with the spaghetti in about the same amount of time, but I was making the spaghetti a pound at a time and eating my way through it bit by bit. With the Instant pot, I would have to break the strands in half to fit the bowl. I'm not sure if I'll stick with this. If I don't, it will be a matter of personal preference for another method, not due to any shortcomings on the part of the Fasta Pasta.

Works but!
Works but some of the pasta sticks together. I think the pasta tastes better boiling in a pot.

Fasta Pasta the Microwave Cooker - A Great Product!
This is a great Microwave Pasta Cooker. I mainly cook wholewheat pasta which cooks to perfection in 9 minutes when covered with preboiled water from the kettle. I made the mistake of placing the lid loosely on top of the cooker when using it for the first time and it boiled over. The lid should be put on properly after the pasta is cooked in order to carry it safely from the microwave to the sink when it is then used for draining the water out of the specially made drainage holes. Make sure you hold the little handles on the sides. It's just trial and error with the other types of pasta until you get the amount of water and cooking time that cooks it in the way that you prefer. I emailed the seller with a query when I first bought the Fasta Pasta Cooker but I didn't get any response.
