The instructions (pictures) are lame. They show a USB cable going into the charger, then they show the charger plugged into your phone, but not both at the same time. The short mini USB that you pull out of the charger goes into your phone then you plug your electric outlet (wall charger) mini into the charger at the other end up by the charge status light. I was in a hurry and this blew right past me until I came back and did a closer examination...

Does the battery come out and can u just swap and use as a spare if needed or is it one piece?

I'm not understanding why people are swapping the battery out of the phone for the one that's in the charger. It is very HARD for me to get the back of my rigid case (best case ever) off the phone, and it's hard to get the back of the phone off, too. Why would you do that when all you have to do is plug the battery in the charger into the charging port of the phone? That little piece that's shown in the photo is what plugs into the phone. I have several batteries and keep them all charged. If I need a third or more battery boost, I just swap out the battery in the charger, not the phone.
