Have been trying to find a sock that works for my hiking boots and found these, which have saved my feet. I have problem feet and toes, and with these socks those problems disappear, what a relief! I was getting deep blisters under my toes and blisters on top of my toes from rubbing. The socks come in a good selection of sizes, so you can buy the properly sized one, which for me, made a huge difference. It means the sock is not "traveling" around your foot, which was a problem with the too large socks that I was buying at the department store. The toes and heel are well and generously padded and keep your feet dry. The other thing I notice is that they stay put on my ankle and above, and do not constrict my leg and cut off circulation. Whoever designed these socks thought things out. I have been hiking in these for a couple of weeks now, and can now focus on actually walking rather than worrying about my feet, which was getting to the point where I thought I would have to quit hiking. I hiked a couple of miles today at a very fast pace, and my feet felt wonderful!

Awesome-socks (or is that awesome-sauce). At any rate these socks are GREAT (according to my Landscape friend). I last bought them for him in September 2016. These socks have lasted over a year (it is now February 2018). In all fairness they probably should have been replaced around a year but he is not good at buying this kind of stuff for himself. He used to wear two pair of socks due to his feet getting wet, padding, and other landscapy stuff but only wears one pair with the Fox River Steel-Toe work sock. He swears buy them and suggests them to others. Btw, I did buy several different pairs of socks for him to try so he could see what he liked most and these worked the best. These were not only the best socks, the price was reasonable and actually a deal for how long they lasted. Oh - and he finally knew they needed to be replaced because they started sliding down. Go figure. ;)

Feels weird to be writing a review about socks. I have Rheumatoid Arthritis, and Osteo Arthritis, so walking is a must, and it hurts to do so. These thick socks help enough to make a difference. You can literally (or I can) feel the difference while walking. Yes they are more expensive, and they should be. If you desire a well-made thick sock. Buy them! If not, buy something cheap made overseas (these are made in the United States (Iowa), and then regret it later :)

I got these for my husband in large for a size 11 shoe! He is very happy with them, they have really nice padding, he needs it since he is diabetic, foot care is crucial!! We tried 2 pair and now I bought 3 more sets for him since he likes them so much!! Speedy shipment, all around excellent purchase!!! 1/27/2020. Just ordered 4 more sets of these docks for my husband, the old ones lasted since 2015, that is just about 5 years of wear! Can’t beat that, highly recommend them. 4/12/21 Still the best so ks for a diabetic!

These Socks are comfortable and have very good fit for wearing my everyday boots.

I am a diesel mechanic and can wear out the Hanes socks in a few uses. These socks last me for years. And they come in large sizes for bigger feet.

I purchased 6 pairs nearly 2 years ago based on positive Amazon reviews. I lost one sock somewhere doing laundry within the first month and have worn 5 pairs every week for two years. I am just now starting to get large lint "balls" falling out of my socks. I do HVAC in Phoenix. That means these socks kept me cool and dry during 115 degree days with 50% humidity in summer on commercial rooftops. Those rooftops get over 135 degrees. Fox River Socks have never let me down while wearing the soles out of my Redwing boots. I changed those last year to Thoroughgoods and will write a review about those soon. For the past six months I've walked 7000-18000 steps 10-12 hrs a day on concrete and these socks don't miss a beat. My feet are dry, there is virtually no odor, and my feet feel great. I'm ordering five more pairs today and will be a loyal Fox River customer for life.

They are by far the best socks I’ve ever owned. My feet don’t get all nasty and sweaty anymore. My blister problem that wasn’t just from my boots, completely gone. Uncomfortable feet at the end of the day from socks sliding? Non-existent. I love these socks so much. It sounds goofy to be so excited about something so trivial but man, after buying 8 pairs of these I don’t think I will ever try a different brand. I work on my feet 6 days a week, 10 hours a day. Worth every single penny spent.

Mein Mann ist begeistert :) Ich hätte nicht gedacht, dass solche Freudenausbrüche bei Socken möglich sind :) Gleich vorweg muss ich allerdings gestehen, dass ich wegen der Größe etwas Sorgen hatte. Größe M - ja...aber was ist das genau? Meinem Mann, der normalerweise Schuhgröße 43 trägt, passen sie allerdings perfekt. Die Socken sind sehr sehr weich und dick - viel mehr als es das Produktfoto angibt. Sie erscheinen aber schon in den Händen trotz der Dicke atmungsaktiv zu sein. An den entsprechenden Stellen (da wo Arbeitsschuhe drücken und rubbeln) sind die Socken nochmal extra verstärkt. Ein sehr guter Tragekomfort entsteht auch durch den oberen Rand, der verhindert dass die Socken wieder runter rutschen. Sie halten gut am oberen Bereich der Wade. Auch die Verstärkungsstellen verändern ihre Position nicht, auch nicht wenn man in nur halb aufgeschnürte Arbeitsschuhe schlüpft. Auch ohne Schuhe findet sie mein Mann sehr angenehm: warm, weich, an den richtigen Stellen gepolstert und daher wollte er sie nach der ersten Anprobe gar nicht mehr ausziehen und hat sie den gesamten Abend über mit stolz getragen - ja, ich hab manchmal einen Spinner daheim :) Die Verarbeitung und das gesamte Material erscheint sehr hochwertig. Nirgendwo sind lose Fäden oder falsch vernähte Kanten. Ein wahrlich gutes Fußgefühl. Kann man nur weiterempfehlen!

My son is a sock shredder and these have lasted for months with no sign of holes. They are comfortable to wear but do slip down a little on his thin legs.

Very comfortable, fits a little large, very thick for cold winters.
