These are the best things invented since the cake pop was created. Absolutely wonderful. So much easier &faster& fun to use.
I love love love these silicone popcake molds. If you order 2 like I did you can make 40 at a time. With my daughter's engagement party this weekend it made it so much easier. No mixing up broken cake and frosting and ending up with a treat that's so sweet even kids can only eat so many. Just make your own cake batter or use a cake mix and you're ready to go.I read a lot of reviews before ordering from this company. Originally I was going to order from a different one because they were a little cheaper. But all the companies that had them at that low price were shipping from China and it would take anywhere from 2 weeks to 28 days. I didn't want to wait that long, actually couldn't because of time constraints, and a few reviews described their silicone pans as cheaply made and thinner than other products they had that were similar.These are not cheaply made. They are pretty sturdy and thick for silicone baking trays and using them is so easy. A few people had suggestions for making the best basketballs and I totally agree with them.1. Make sure you use a good cooking spray and really spray them liberally checking after to be sure that none were missed. This is the easiest way to get it done. Using shortening would take a lot of time and you don't want to miss any spots. I know some people who say they were able to bake without using sprays or Crisco oil or shortening. More power to them but it never worked that way for me. If I remembered to spray between each batch I dint have any problem with them coming out. If anything they sometimes came flying out while I was opening the trays.2. There is a bit of a learning curve. My balls (ok laugh...hard not to lol) took 12 minutes to cook and I filled the bottom half almost to the top. I was using a chocolate cake mix with added cacao powder (unsweetened) and they came out nice and fluffy. Different batters will raise differently so I made 1 tray to figure out how much they needed and how long to bake. You know those little kits you get to truss up your Turkey for Thanksgiving? The skinny little metal Allen wrench things that come with the string are the PERFECT size for fitting in the top molds hole to check for doneness.3. Right after removing from the oven carefully remove the top mold. If you don't your popcake balls will get mushy from steam. Be careful like I said. You don't want the steam to burn you.4. Set the bottom mold on a cooling rack and let it cool off for a few short minutes. Take them out too soon they are so nice and fluffy that you'll remove their heads. Wait too long and they'll stick to the mold.5 after removing from mold let them cool off the rest of the way. Then in a single layer on a cookie sheet put in freezer till very firm. If you were going to coat them with chocolate right away they'll be firm enough to get started. If not after they are frozen stick all the balls in a freezer bag then you can take out just the amount you need. You can keep them frozen a few months and they'll be fine. **When defrosting remove them from the plastic freezer bag or the condensation will make them wet and mushy. You can even freeze them after they are decorated if you want. Just don't use the food markers for decoration until defrosted or design will melt and get all over just like mascara on a hot or rainy day. (I'm sure all you guys are intimately familiar with this phenomenon :)6. All you need to wash the molds is some warm soapy water. Takes just a few seconds and they are clean and ready for the next cakeball party.ENJOY...THEY MAKE SCRUMPTIOUS TASTY BALLS AND YOU WONT REGRET HAVING 2 SETS INSTEAD OF ONE. It makes quick work of any box cake mix and you'll have twice the balls in half the time. So it doesn't hurt if you eat a few of the "funny looking ones" just to test if they are done properly ;)Happy Baking - KJNOLAN

I don't understand the bad reviews, the product works perfectly and its amazingly easy to fill, clean and take cake off the mold. I used oil spray before filling (just like any other regular mold), obviously you fill the mold only ONE side and close it very well. This product doesn't have a manual, is the only minus, mostly for people experimenting the first time, may be a good idea to improve the experience. How ever, to do cake pops for the first time there a millions of sites online, google it!

Great, I just wish that it came with instructions. Thanks to previous reviews, however, I was able to make it mostly correct on my first try! Decorating them was were I went slightly wrong! I learned from those mistakes and now make them regularly as my go-to dessert. One standard box of cake mix is enough to make the two sets that I bought along with six cupcakes. Here are more suggestions:-Liberally spray the holes with baking spray-Fill each bottom hole just under the top, making sure not to overflow it. Then, put on the top tray. It would be a good idea to put a cookie sheet under, so that you have support when your removing from the oven.-It took about 18 minutes to bake in an oven already heated to 350 degrees.-I removed the top mold as soon as it came out of the oven, so that they didn't get soggy. I then waited about 10 minutes to take out the balls from the bottom mold. It was real easy to pop them out by giving them a little push from the bottom.-I made the mistake of putting the stick in, then putting in the freezer with hopes that the stick would stay. They didn't! The correct method to make the stick stay is to dip it in melted chocolate first, then poke it into the cake ball.-I also made the mistake of frosting them with canned frosting and a butter knife. It worked better, however, the next time, when I just dipped them in melted chocolate. Since melted chocolate hardens fast, I recommend having your work station prepared! I started by grabbing a cake pop with the stick already in it, dipping it in melted chocolate, then in a bowl of sprinkles, then on a cookie sheet lined with wax paper. I also dip a few in crushed oreos instead of sprinkles, just for variety!It was great making cake pops with this mold! It tasted great to have frosting on the outside of the cake pop, rather then in the mix as with other cake pop recipes. It's also easy to clean!

It took a few attempts before I got it
First, it is so flexible that I have to use a tray to place it in my freezer. The advantage is that it is a cinch to remove my cream cheese balls once they are frozen. It is not fun to clean, but that's not the fault of the product. The blueberries did not stain it, and it snaps right back into place when indented. These silicone products impress the hell out of me. And the color makes it easy to locate in the overcrowded cabinet.I have no plans to use it in my oven or microwave, so I can't comment on it's performance in that regard.

SOME information would have been helpful...
As of this week, this product sold by cnomg and fulfilled by Amazon DOES NOT COME WITH INSTRUCTIONS. There are places online to get bake times and other questions answered, but I spent most of the morning in trial and error anyway:1--the cake pop mold doesn't necessarily need baking spray, but it doesn't hurt2--best results when batter is just about level to the top of the bottom indentations; less than that and your cake pop will have a flat top/more than that and your cake pops will ooze into each other which is a problem when you have different colors going3--baking time will depend on batter, but think in terms of 17-21 minutes and check one of the center molds with a toothpick (through the hole) to make sure4--allow at least 15 minutes to cool in the mold. (slightly push in the top of each dome as you remove the mold top for extra insurance that the pops won't be ripped in half)5--outside pops will cook faster than inside pops6--pops will not come out of the mold ready to use -- they will need to be shaped and trimmed manually7--clean up is easy

Perfect size and all!
I hand roll all my cake pops but needed something to have them chill in that wouldn’t leave any flat sides and this was perfect the size, easy to wash, and of course stores easily. Since I hand roll I use both top and bottom as “holders” so I have double the amount of spots to place them! I will be buying more for my bulk orders!

The worst.
I've never made cake pops before but am an experienced baker and this mold is terrible! It came with no instructions and is NOT nonstick at all. Silicone is supposed to not require non stick spray (one of the reasons I purchased this) and this does NOT live up to that at all. All my cake pops split in half because of sticking and exploded into each other because I overfilled (admittedly my fault). I would never recommend this to anyone and I won't be using it again, sadly. Id recommend a sturdier metal non stick version to anyone looking. Bummer!!

Cake pops, chinese pineapple balls, you name it.
I recreated my Pineapple Deep Fried Tofu (Chinese style) with these little wonders. No deep frying (just a tad-bit of oil in the wok for crispiness), same great flavor.Now, on to cake pops.I’ve seen these babies, under another brand, at a local store, at about 4 times the price (shipping included). This is the cheapest price I found, and I strongly recommend the product.
