I bought a bunch of these to help make hangers for a cable curtain rod. They are well made. The threads always fit perfectly into which ever piece I needed them to. If you have to put a wrench on them use a protected jaw or cover them in tape first as the coating will scratch. I’m going to use this same review for a couple of other parts bought from the same manufacturer for the same project.

These are the best pipes for furniture and decor projects that I have found. I tried several other brands and had to send them back because they looked terrible, but these are lovely. Color, finish, texture - all excellent. Spend a couple extra dollars and get these, you won't regret it, your project will turn out beautifully!

I've ordered black pipe from different sources to complete customer shelving requests but Brooklyn pipes are by far the best I have purchased. The finish is a dark charcoal grey that contrasts well with the stained wood shelves and does not require cleaning with mineral spirits and repainting like some other pipes do. The thread quality allows you to securely tighten the pipes without using pipe wrenches that would leave teeth marks that need repainting.

Very easy to use. Sizes/lengths were consistent. Used to build a shelf my wife found on Pinterest. Minimal oils were on the product, which meant a quick wipe with mineral spirits cleaned it just fine. I kept the natural finish in tact and am hoping it will rust over time. Overall, I am satisfied with the product, price point and ease of use.

You get what you pay for. Quality control isn't perfect, with some ends threaded more/less than others and lengths slightly off. With enough redundancies (e.g., the countertop sorry I used them for), it works, but I'd be weary of relying on a handful if precision is a must, or at least line them up and try to match odd lengthed ones before assembling so you can adjust accordingly. Also, like other reviewers have said, your hands with have the same finish as the pipes for a few days.

I bought these for a custom shelf for my sewing room. I chose these because I could customize the height and depth of the shelves to fit my mini bolts of fabric. I did 10” pipes from the wall with 12” pipes vertically (except top piece is 10” verticals). I am so pleased with how it turned out. Now, I will say they came oily to prevent rusting and it easily rubbed off and made everything it touched filthy. So I soaked and scrubbed them down with dish soap, let dry, wire brushed the rust off and then sealed with a couple coats of clear rustoleum. A little extra work, but now it won’t stain my fabric. Finish is great. Would buy again.

These are black cast iron fittings. I can't say how good they are for actual plumbing (being watertight and holding pressure and such) but they are perfect for my steampunk lighting projects. I like the finish as well.

This product was an awesome value. 1/2 the price of the big box store and twice the value. The pipes and fittings are clean and very high quality. Very little grease, I finished with some satin poly and they are perfect. I had some questions and Brian and the folks at Brooklyn pipe couldn’t have been nicer. Would definitely recommend and buy again. Thanks Brian!

Pipe and fittings look good, fit well together and not too heavy as they are furniture grade only, not suitable for gas or water.

The perfect seller! Product was better than I had expected, the speed of delivery from the US to Australia was amazing and I couldn't recommend these guys any higher!
