I won't be able to store the tesla dashcam footage with a usb flash drive if i get this item and use it without a splitter. am i correct?

Does using a USB splitter reduce charging speeds?

I already owned this so I used it as a splitter: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06VWMLGF6 It uses two popular lithium batteries that charge whenever the car is on and this allows the wireless pad to charge are a higher rate of speed combining the charge rate of the single USB port and the previously charged batteries to drive the to Qi chargers in the pad, even has a display to see the rate of charge. I have used it as a backup charger at events like CES, so I was glad it was already in the car and charged when I needed it.

My phone slides when I make turn to the side and charging stops. Contacted the seller but no response yet. Does anyone have the same problems?

Never had any issue with phone not staying in place.

Is it possible to swap out the usb cable? I want to route one to the 12v.

There are 2 USB ports in the front of the Tesla Model 3. Those two ports are Data and high current USB ports. The cables on the charging pad are short, just long enough to reach the ports they are meant to be plugged into. They are also independent, so you only need to plug one of them in, left or right, the one you want to use, keeping the other open to hold a USB drive to record Sentry recordings. Running the pad to the rear USB connectors in the console will not work, they are low current ports. I hope this helps.
