Review: Great beginner kit! - I've wanted to try jewelry making but didn't want to spend a lot of money and then figure out that I didn't *really* want to make jewelry. This kit is perfect! There's a good range in bead sizes which makes for a nice variation in the jewelry but still goes well together. The colors are very pretty - not too muted, not overly bold. The book is pretty basic. It shows the layout of each piece and then you reference the back for how to finish the closures for them. Once I saw the pictures, it was easy to figure out but I tend to be creative and am able to 'just wing it' when needed. If you're looking for a very detailed explanation, this isn't it. Even still, for the price, it's a great way to start. I was able to do 2 pairs of earrings, 2 bracelets and 1 necklace in just a few hours (with kids distracting me!) and I'm very pleased with how they turned out. Bottom line: if you're a beginner and you're looking for a way to 'test the waters', this is a great way to do it. If you need a very detailed instruction guide, this probably isn't going to do it for you.

I've wanted to try jewelry making but didn't want to spend a lot of money and then figure out that I didn't *really* want to make jewelry. This kit is perfect! This was a fun kit. I enjoyed the designs. I was worried that there wouldn't be enough seed beads to complete the projects, but there were more than enough. I will wear these necklaces, and the bracelets. The earrings maybe, not. Trust the instructions! I will be buying again. I loathe designing projects, but I enjoy beading. The price was right. Very pleased. One drawback, the box was crushed, but the products were fine, so, who cares!
