Bazaar: Vibrant vegetarian and plant-based recipes

Amazing cookbook, recipes are simple yet full of flavor. You might need some unusual ingredients like harissa, tahini etc. but everything can be found on amazon and it's so worth it. Although it's worth mentioning, it's not really plant-based since a lot of the recipes use dairy and eggs.

Gave this as a Christmas gift to my daughter. She’s delighted with it. This is not strictly a book for vegetarians. Rather it’s for anyone who wants to make vegetables the tastiest, most interesting part of the meal.

Bazaar is another lovely book of Sabrina Ghayour and I am enjoying her unique recipes. Some are a bit unusual at first glance like baked scallions or breaded shallots which seem to be fillers to make up the collection, but the rest of the recipes are very delicious and easy to prepare. My favorite was the kale and feta bake which I substituted with spinach, and I think I will try ricotta cheese the next time I make it. Overall a beautiful collection of creative Middle East vegetarian dishes.

Colorful vegetarian recipes with wide ranges of dishes - salads, bowls and entrees etc. All the ingredients are accessible in a large city. Some of the recipes take more effort and are therefore better for the weekend rather than a weekday dinner. Many of the finished recipes look beautiful so these would be great for entertaining.

When I received it I sat down and read it from cover to cover. Delicious sounding recipes and stunning photography.

Interesting combinations of flavors: both ingredients and favorings/herbs. Heavy use of Mediterranean ingredients, including olives and olive oil, sumac, preserved lemons, beans, and labneh in interesting ways. Food isn't all about health: author doesn't hesitate in her use of carbohydrates, eggs, and dairy, especially halloumi, alongside the prominent use of legumes and vegetables, she also doesn't hesitate to fry. Food is outside of the standard European fare, and with Mediterranean flavors and ingredients, but not so unusual as to be unappealing. Sabrina Ghayour offers recipes for meals from appetizers to desserts. In my opinion the desserts are the least appealing as the baked goods are fairly vegetable heavy which may be typical of Mediterranean desserts, but remind me of the chocolate zucchini cake we were served too frequently in childhood to get rid of the enormous Midwest garden monstrosities.

This is the cook book of your dreams - no recycled or pimped-up recipes and lovely little cameo stories to ease you into the soul of this type of cooking. I was enchanted by the red thread winding throughout the introduction: it is a book written mainly with meat-eaters in mind, who seek variety and new ideas for the vegetables they already know ad nauseam - the potato, carrot, cabbage, leak and parsnip that invariably shows up on your plate alongside your meat. Well - challenge superbly accomplished. My oh my...and the translation is wonderful and professionally delivered, too ! Not to mention the mouth-watering pictures !!

Me ha gustado mucho, lo descubri en un restaurante mientras esperaba mi comida, y usualmente no me gusta comprar libros porque la mayoria de las recetas son complicadas, o muy simplonas, y de todo un libro acabo usando 1 receta, pero de este libro en la primera hojeada hice 3 recetas, y hay muchas mas que me parecen faciles e interesantes, es muy versatil, por ejemplo, no yo como cosas fritas pero se pueden hacer cosas similares en la freidora de aire o en el horno. Por ejemplo la patata dulce en leche de coco me parecio divina. Realmente recomiendo este libro.

Bought this to expand our ideas of purely vegetable dishes. Not a vegetarian but I do like to lay off the meat on occasions. Most of the meals can be eaten as sides for the carnivorous among us. Great middle eastern flavours.
