This works perfectly. I have used sealing waxes for years. I love this over the wax sticks you light because you never get soot in seal. Definitely either buy beads to melt or if you have sticks break them up or use knife (or peeler) to create shavings. Love having the control of the spoon and that the spoon sits perfectly on top. No more spilled wax. Plus it is very attractive sitting on the desk when not in use. Looks great next to my glass pens & ink wells. FYI - Did you know you can mail letters with wax seals. Just take them to Post Office, pay small hand stamp / do not machine process fee and yuour special touch can be mailed. Cost me I believe 15 cents a letter last time I mailed a wax Sealed letter. Please don't just put wax sealed letters in mailbox. The seal can get caught in modern machinery and destroy your letter or damage equipment.

After watching "Poldark", my old kindling for the romantic wax seals was ignited again. I bought most aspects of the craft including the wax warmer. My daughter-in-law and I had the best time wrapping letters with matching envelopes into 5 per bundle and wrapping them with ribbons sealed with wax. They were gifts to friends in Bulgaria and am anxious to learn of their reactions. It set a fun mood with all the items we used. '

I've used this for hundreds of seals now and I absolutely love it. The spoon can hold enough wax for about 3 seals. Just be careful and keep an eye on it--if you leave the spoon over the flame too long, or if you leave a smudge on the spoon or center copper section, your wax can begin to smoke. I keep a paper towel nearby to keep everything clean. Highly recommended if you're doing wax seals in bulk!

Great item. I do multiple envelopes at a time, and the spoon does have a bit of wax left under the spout after the poor. I used a paper towel to wipe under the lip after each poor. It wastes a very tiny bit of wax but keeps everything clean.

This little thing is so cute! It comes with everything you need (except wax beads) and works like a charm! First time using a wax seal spoon and it was amazing. The bottom does turn black after a few uses and I don't know if that's normal or not but it still works fine, just looses some of it's aesthetic.

It's super nice! I was getting tired of holding my spoon so this is a great upgrade. Only downside is that the metal around the base gets hot but it's to be expected. Just don't touch! I absolutely adore my new goodie c

I was skeptical with some of the reviews, but this kit is perfect for the price. It was my first time wax sealing and this made it the easiest process. I kept the candle centered and made sure there wasn't a breeze to move the flame. The only downside is wax dripped down the side of the spoon after pouring. In between pours I simply wiped it off the bottom so it wouldn't burn. Definitely worth it for the price.

Want to send a special letter to someone. This will show that person you cared. Works as intended. I used a couple wax beads per stamping. Placed burner on a protected surface in case melted wax spilled. Had tissue paper available to CAREFULLY wipe off residual melted wax from spoon after sealing wax applied. Let wax harden before removing seal stamp. I would purchase again but hope I don't have to.
