I ordered this book to soothe my need to do art since I have burn out from my autism in addition to having art block. The illustrations are so gorgeous and playful, I will admit I giggled at a few of these illustrations because it reminds me of my own kitties!The book was a lot bigger than I expected--I thought for $6 I was getting a small coloring book, but when I got it, it was bigger! I thought that was pretty neat.It took well to my Faber Castell classic set color pencils, I am not so sure about markers or paints, but in the book on the page that gives you room to test out colors it says to use a scrap paper or maybe something thicker (I suggest maybe a piece of cardboard) to ensure it doesn't bleed through, so if you have markers or watercolors I am sure you can use them in this book!Overall I highly suggest this coloring book! The illustrations are beautiful, playful, and detailed, you can use whatever medium you want on it to color the pages (pencils, crayons, paints, markers), and it's big and quality! Very much drawn by someone who understands cats, and their personalities come through in the drawings. Funny, cute, but sophiscatedly drawn. One-sided pages allow for you to tear out a page if you'd like to frame your colorings. And the images are worth framing, very elegant and nicely drawn. Will see if I can use watercolor to make these look professionally colored and frame them if any turn out well. Pages aren't very thick but not too thin either - author recommends adding an in-between page to prevent bleed through. Reminds me of the old illustrated books about cats and gardens by Lesley Anne Ivory. Highly recommended! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Nice Images....But Definitely Not "60 lb" Paper as Listed *by G***. on Reviewed in the United States on August 17, 2017* I love cats, and I love flowers, so this was kind of a no-brainer for me. When I read the description and saw it was printed on 60 lb paper, I thought wow! Now I can break out my water-soluble colored pencils and go to town.Unfortunately, when I received this coloring book, I discovered it was on (maybe) 24 lb paper. Very disappointing. I considered giving this a 3 star review for that reason. (Sorry Inktense pencils, I can't use you in this book.)There are some nice things about this book, though! I'm not really into the "cutesy" cat coloring books -- I prefer to see the kitties in more natural settings. In this respect, the "Cats & Flowers: A Coloring Book" shines. The images really make me smile, and I look forward to coloring them.The images are printed single-sided, which is a big plus as far as I am concerned.Interestingly, each image has a caption indicating the flower (or flowers) that are being featured in the image. That makes it nice, if I decide I want to color in the flowers to match what they would be in nature.I really wish I could have given this 5 stars but due to the misleading (at the time of this writing) description I cannot.
