This is a big container of mayonnaise. The plastic jar seals great and it arrived fresh. This is not an oily mayonnaise it is made from egg yolks, it is savory, versatile, and excellent. If you have the space in your refrigerator this will save you money. Use on sandwiches, add to salads, soups, add to macaroni & cheese instead of butter, make dipping sauces, and it has a nice aroma not a sour unpleasant one. Buy it you will love it.

I love this mayo. We make chicken or tuna salad often. When using regular mayo there always seem we had liquid to drain because there was some separation in the mayo. Heavy mayo that doesn't happen. Instead you have a thicker and richer mayo. My friends beg me for the secret to my chicken salad. They can't believe it's just because of her mayo. Excellent price, quality hih, taste amazing. I recommend it all the time. It is a big Kar so it takes up a lot of space in the refrigerator if I didn't get the second refrigerator it might have been a problem but it's so good I'd make it work

Have you ever noticed sandwiches often taste better when someone else makes them? That's due to a concept known as sensory-specific satiety. But sometimes the sandwich was made by a restaurant or deli and the secret ingredient is the mayo. Hellman's Mayo is the good stuff. I can't by this stuff at the local supermarket and all the other brands of mayo have an odd flavor. Mayo is meant to enhance your food, not flavor it. I even tried making mayo from scratch and I can't beat this stuff. The other thing want to point out: this is 'extra heavy' mayo with a thicker consistency. That means it won't make bread soggy. Use for sauces and I promise they will turn out better. It also works great when browning meats in the air fryer. I just mix my seasonings in with some mayo and brush the mixture on before putting it in the air fryer. Don't be afraid to buy this big jug. It will keep a long time in the fridge and I just use it to refill a smaller jar.

If you're gonna use Mayo, you might as well use the heavy good stuff.!!!

Updating my original review: Originally gave this 5 stars on our history with the Hellman’s brand. But now that we’ve opened the jar I need to update my original review. #1: unless you’re using this in a restaurant or other setting where you can quickly use this, don’t buy it. I received it on May 9th and the expiration date is June 25th. #2 : there’s literally nothing “Extra Heavy” about this mayonnaise. The consistency of it is more cheap no brand mayo. #3 : it was oily and separated. #4 : the taste was a long ways away from Hellman’s #5 : we will just stick with buying our Hellman’s Mayo from the store. We’ve never had any issues that way. We have been loyal Hellman’s Mayo users forever! No other mayo brand has the taste or consistency of Hellman’s. And this giant jar will surely be gone in a heartbeat.

Good mayonnaise. Purchased for the purpose of tuna salad. Tried it with toast for a sandwich spread, doesn't taste as good as smaller store purchased package. Of course, this is much more economical purchase. I can always use it to make a yummy sauce by adding other ingredients. No high fructose corn syrup. Minus one star for taste
