Battle=won!
Short story long... We love a good coffee, so taste, profile, body, acidity etc. all need to be spot on to make the cut. The best way to get what you want, how you want it is to buy the raw beans, roast and grind yourself. But who has time for that? So we decided to have another kid... I love the kid, but he has the lungs of a screeching spider monkey that just hit the lottery. So getting the average of 30 minutes of sleep at a time, our Nespresso and Keurig single cup makers couldn't keep up come morning. I know what you're thinking, (you say you're a coffee snob but you use a keurig?!" .. Yes.. when you're getting negative sleep each night, convenience is nice. Not saying it's a great cup of coffee, but it satisfies well enough. The Nespresso makes a pretty solid cup of coffee, but the cost per pod is much higher. I can't afford to spending all that money for pods with as much as we're drinking lately... that's like a Ferrari a week. So here we are... with a drip pot. Add that to our pour over, french press, two pod makers, moka... our house looks like a Starbucks on steroids. But hey, for the sake of quantity and money, we'll give it a shot. So I went in search of a great roast... This was the real uphill battle.. a battle that took us through every roast on the store shelves, and many through Amazon. We searched high and low for a good roast, our taste buds longing for a good cup of coffee... but all we found was bitterness, weak roasts and acidity that would make drinking from a car battery enticing. We tried to fine tune amounts... ultra filtered water.. we even mixed various roasts together, which actually helped.. but who can live like that?! So the journey continued... with fear we may never have good coffee again. Sure, at this point going on -5671 hours of sleep, the caffeine was a primary issue, keeping me from turning into Gollum... and we were still being supplied that. But our taste buds longed for something good again. Our search continued, until one day we were at a discount store and bought a bag of Kicking Horse to try. At this point, with all the money we were wasting on bad coffee I practically had to work overtime and get a second job.. (just kidding... but seriously...) we started grabbing some to try at the discount store. Brought this puppy home - our first bag of Kicking Horse - and was excited to try it. I looked at the bag and my heart dropped like a lead balloon. On the side, it said "Decaf". After shaking my head in shame and wondering what my wife was going to say about my man card, I decided to try it. To my surprise, it was a very good roast... especially for a demonic, perverted thing like Decaf! But we still needed caffeine... we'll keep that Decaf for a rainy day when we no longer need the caffeine.. like when the kids get married or something. This whole occurrence however, was my gateway to Kicking Horse. We decide to try some of their other roasts, since the Decaf reeled us in. I ordered the Three Sisters, Kick @$$, and Smart @$$. We usually like a darker roast, so I thought I'd like that one best, but I found it a little weak to be honest. Still good taste, and no bitterness... kinda like that good old hunting dog. He's a good dog, loyal, but doesn't really help you out. Then I tried the other two, and Three Sisters blew my socks off! For a medium roast, it was a nice strong roast. No bitterness or harsh acidity, and the flavor profile was amazing! My first taste of this was Heavenly... as if the angels were singing. Seriously... if I could tap an iv of this straight into my bloodstream I would. So there it is... best roast I've had in a long time. My only regret is that they don't sell it by the pallet full. Kid still sleeps horrible, but hey... at least we can have a good cup of coffee in the morning that not only gives us caffeine, but also is enjoyable to drink. Thanks, Kicking Horse!!

Taste Smooth, Clean
This coffee is amazing, I tried the three sisters medium ground after watching a video stating this coffee doesn't have any additives, mold, or preservatives. This is the best coffee I've had in I can't even remember! I'm definitely stocking up on other flavors. It's smooth and taste clean. I am a convert!

Great mold free Coffee choice.
This is a great coffee if you are looking for something clean of good quality and flavor. A little about me and why I became interest in trying kicking horse coffee. I became allergic to the cheap crap from the big box grocery stores and set out on a search to find a decent coffee with good flavor that wasn’t sprayed with God knows what and was tested for mold. Kicking horse had the best reviews and the best practice so I decided I would give each medium roast flavor a try. So far, I have only tried the Three sisters blend, but I am very satisfied with my purchase. It has good flavor and I can tell you as someone who has a lot of allergies to a lot of different things. This is a great pick if you have a mold allergy. I’ve had no reactions to this brand and will continue to try other flavors until I find the one that I like the best. Although it is a little expensive, it is worth it for having a quality cup that I can count on each morning without giving me congestion and still does a good job at waking me up. Next try, Happy Camper!

Best flavor and price than the other brands.
I've now tried three coffees that are organic, and mold free: Purity, Bulletproof and now Kicking Horse Coffee. Kicking Horse (Three Sisters, ground medium roast) is by far the best on price AND taste. It has more flavor, aroma with a satisfying finish. The other two were weaker and, for health reasons, I've moved from dark to medium roast and Three Sisters is as good as a rich dark roast. One note: Kicking Horse comes in only 10 oz bag. The other two come in 12 oz bags.

Excellent quality, coffee
Great value for the money because this is a good quality coffee that brews at the strength it claims to be and properly ground so it went through my automatic machine with no problems

Undistinguished taste; problematic packaging
This is an acceptable coffee. It is as described "medium" roast (not too strong, not too light). It is smooth, but undistinguished, not unique or memorable. Just okay. The packaging is problematic as it must be cut open with scissors and is not resealable--a definite minus for something that requires freshness sealing! Price was acceptable. Will likely not purchase again.

Love that fresh coffee smell
This coffee is ground consistently and uniformly, which makes it work perfectly in my Keurig coffee maker. No clogs, no uneven brewing , just reliable performance every time. The flavor is excellent: smooth, rich, and full-bodied with a pleasant aroma. It has a nice balance without any bitterness, making it great for daily use. Overall, a solid choice for Keurig owners who want quality coffee at a good value. I’ll definitely be buying it again!

Mild lower acid coffee in my opinion, great taste but price fluctuates too much
I have been using this brand of coffee for about 5 years I would say. Three Sisters version. The reason I tried it was by accident. It was on sale verses other brands. I was purchasing it at $6.99 regularly after that. It was available even at blue box stores. And it did not cause acid reflux issues like other coffee. But, when Lavazza Gold costs less, you know something is wrong. The taste was great, not acidic, and mild. Not burnt roast either. Balanced. I was happy to be able to enjoy coffee again. High acid just goes badly for me. Slowly the price crept up to $14.99! in a short time, for such a small bag. It says it’s organic, but we can’t verify it unless we find more information. It is not a flavoured coffee or a decent size for this price point for filter coffee. It’s not fancy or specialty coffee. I was using it sparingly to make it last, and it lasted me 2 weeks stretching it. Otherwise you can use a pack per week easily which is what I did before. I keep it on hand, but no longer purchase multiples per month unless it’s at a reasonable cost again. As consumers we expect value for our money. When this is not met, you move on. The packaging is always deflated and not vacuum packed. They need better packaging for online orders. Just tweaking it and taking extra step with additional clear packing bags at least. Expresso is a smaller vacuum packed package because you use less of it and it’s highly caffeinated. Being it’s a Canadian brand, it should be more reasonable in cost vs commercial US brands or European brands. But it’s twice the price. I support small businesses, organic, but I need to justify value, $69 a month on regular coffee makes anyone with European decent just run in opposite direction when you can stock up on Italian premium coffee. One star off for poor packaging that arrives damaged every order, small qty for price, and inflation. Otherwise good filter coffee for everyday. Seal bags in other bags as other vendors do, for Amazon shipping protection, handling, storage, or vacuum pack into hard bricks for freshness. The valve seems compromised each time. I transfer it into glass vacuum jars to prevent staleness in their current packaging. Which does not come with metal wires in the tops, or zip closure to close in freshness. I will continue to get it if on sale. And would go back to it full time if costs return to reasonable pricing.

Nice coffee
This is excellent coffee. However this is the second lost order of this coffee. I didn’t realize when I ordered that is still had to be picked, shipped, roasted , bagged before leaving, or else the deliverer is so incompetent that they can’t get an order to me now that the Quebec distribution centre is closed

Healthiest coffee
I saw on internet survey of coffees bought in Canada this coffee is the healthiest coffee to buy . There is nothing in it to affect your health . Another good thing about it is it tastes so good .
