#6 turnouts are ultra reliable. Just remember you need a compatible electrical switch to actuate this. I have 42 of these and they all work flawlessly.

If you are planning to add a switch to an existing line, and replace an existing 9-3/4” (S248) straight track, for instance, you will need a S0-040 62mm(2-7/16”) to make the transition work!!🥳

Kato makes excellent track pieces that attach securely to other track. I have had one turnout that was bad in that the rails were a bit short but that is the exception. Note that the Kato N scale turnouts are power routing, which can be good or bad, depending on what you want. There are videos on YouTube that discuss this.

I haven't used it much yet but so far it's been working flawlessly while pulling 14 cars over it.
