If your dough isn't too wet all you have to do is wipe off the wires and tap the unit on the counter, the little bit of dust and dough falls right out. So much easier than a pasta machine. The one that comes without the rolling pin says the strings are wire...are they not the same item?** A: They're nylon wire. I've been through two of these. The strings break. Some will be so tight they'll break while others are so loose they won't cut. This thing is not good quality. I upgraded to the one they sell at Fante's Kitchen Shop for $50, and I've never been happier. **Q: Does it have a drawer that pulls out or does the pasta just slide down the incline?** A: There is no drawer. It just slides down the incline. **Q: Does it make different size (width) pasta?** A: It has at least two widths as it turns over. You may be able to adjust the wires, but I haven't tried that yet. I love it because it looks so great!! **Q: what are the two thicknesses this chitarra makes? (width in mm)** A: The widths are roughly 3mm & 5mm, though I've never measured. I've only used the spaghetti side which is close enough to extruded spaghetti to satisfy me. I hand cut wider pasta.
