Review: Security isn't always cheap (Update: Maybe it is) - This is an outrageous lock. Heavy and durable. It's got a great reputation out there, as the price would indicate. It is limited in that you can't put it through 2 chain links (if you can you wasted your money getting a crappy chain to pair with a great lock). So make sure that you get a chain where the links can go through other links. II did a lot of research into locks and chains after having my motorcycle stolen, and this lock was the one that kept popping up. I now have 2 of these combined with 2 Pragmasis boron steel chains. Having 2 locks and 12 feet of chain may sound crazy, but it's flexible to lock around anything and having 2 locks means if I can't open one then I have a second option to unlock (it's happened to me). This is an expensive lock, but it's makes for a good defense against thieves. Update after 9 years of ownership: I still use 2 of these to lock up a motorcycle on the streets of NY. That's about $14 a year, so far. The design of these locks is awesome. They lay on the ground, sometimes in the dirt when lock, and that means tons of dirt enter from rain. On the worst occasion I might have to jiggle they key to get the dirt out, and just recently the worst case required a couple cycles of hot water and compressed air to clean, but it's back in order. I had it freeze up in extremely cold weather (laying in snow and ice), and less than a minute with my cigar lighter resolves that. So, not only well-built and strong, it is also durable and long lasting, making it an economical purchse.

**Q: Is the shackle opening large enough for use on a storage unit?**
A: The 37/80 shackle is 14mm thick.  For most storage units the shackle can be a maximum of 10 or 11 mm, so the try the Abus 37/60 (11mm), Abus 20/80 (11mm) or 20/70 (10mm).  For storage units I recommend the Abus 20/80.

**Q: What is the opening size of the shackle?  Do you think it could fit two 12mm link chains.

A: I think you are looking for the ABUS 37/70 model for this exact application.  This one works and is sold together with 12mm link chains at other vendors.

**Q: Is this specifically the 37rk/80 szp?**
A: I believe that Abus makes several different versions of this lock.  Specifically, mine is 37RK/80.  But I also saw that "The Lock picking Lawyer" just picked one (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FfFTNsowDvk) and the model he picked was the 37/80, without the "RK".  I don't know what the difference is.

**Q: Can i have a look overall picture of packaging original box? come with how many key?**
A: I don't have a picture of the original packaging, nor can I find one.  As I recall, it was a small box, and it came with two keys that were attached to pieces of cardboard that were about credit card size.  I use mine to lock up my motorcycle, so I have a 16mm chain where the links fit through each other and this locks to 1 link.  It spends all year outside laying in the dirt (chained to a tree) and have had no problems with the mechanism.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The MOTHER of all locks!

2+lbs of intimidation! After a lot of research and watching The Lock Picking Lawyer YouTube, I decided on this lock. For an experienced locksmith, this takes some time to pick. The average thief isn’t picking locks, they’re into cut and run. This lock has a high shackle guard and hardened shackle. In my case I’ve paired it with a 10’ Abus 10KS 3/8” square chain. It will be wrapped through both my pressure washer frame and hose reel frame. The ends will be fed through the safety chain holes on my trailer hitch so the lock can be attached to the bottom so bolt cutters or cutoff discs can’t get to it. The only “improvement” I’d suggest is the shackle guard is a die cast metal. This lock at this price point should have a guard made from hardened steel to prevent shattering from hammer blows. Lock was in a flimsy box that was destroyed and lock got scratched from rolling around shipping box with the keys. Maybe a bubble wrap envelope around the lock inside the box..? Doesn’t affect the performance but for $130 I’d like to at least start shiny and new.
