Learning Resources El Centro de las Silabas (Spanish Syllables) Pocket Chart, Classroom Supplies, Grades 1+

I wanted to teach my students to read in Spanish and not just memorize words. Great resource for making students independent learners. Students can learn to sound out words and build words. Love it!

Although I found the syllable cards confusing and one of the picture words was misspelled, I was very pleased with the pocket chart itself. I don't mind remaking the syllable cards because I know this pocket chart is going to be excellent for my bilingual classroom.

It is a very nice product.....I love it......nice quality.....good price.....it is a great resource for preschoolers and kindergarten teachers...

My students love this center. They understood the task in a minute. It is sturdy and after a year of heavy duty it hasn't come apart. The pictures are colorful and I like that they have the written word at the back, so that allows my student to self check their answers. I would like to have all the syllables only printed at the front and in different markers instead of double sided, just because sometimes it is a bit difficult for my students to find the syllables they need. Although the material used is very thick cardboard, I would have included some extra blank markers for missing pieces or for more vocabulary. But overall, it makes a great independent learning center for my students. Highly recommended for children learning Spanish with certain knowledge of reading.

The pocket chart is quite useful but the syllables are printed on both sides (ie different syllables) so for small children it becomes very confusing. And who else would it be intended for? I teach reading to K-1 students who are just learning to blend sounds. They find the right pocket (da,de,di,do,du) but may read the side with a different consonant (ma,se,tu,etc.) and are frustrated and unable to form the target word. Ridiculous!

A good way to practice reading. My grandson loves to play with it.

Producto didáctico que cumple su función, los niños se divierte mucho y aprenden al mismo tiempo.Un área de oportunidad del producto es que las "fichas" con las sílabas son de doble cara y cada cara trae sílabas diferentes, lo cual confunde a los niños y dificulta el colocar las fichas en su bolsa correcta. Sería mejor agregar más fichas de una sola cara.

No es de buena calidad; tal vez para un niño solo este bien sin embargo, para un grupo de niños ya no porque los materiales no son resistentes
