I really like this water bottle. The glass is very thick. The silicone sleeve is sturdy and has a nice grip to it. The mouth of the bottle is just right. Ice from my icemaker fits through the mouth. The bottle and the lid are so easy to clean. It is supposed to be dishwasher safe but I never place things like this in the dishwasher. I handwash them in very hot water. Have had no problems with cleaning. With all that said, it is glass and glass is breakable. If anyone buys this bottle expecting to be as careless with it as they would with plastic then they will be sorely disappointed to find out that this glass will break like all glass will. There is no such thing as unbreakable glass. I try to be very careful with my bottle. I treat it with care as I would any glass. I expect that the bottle will last me forever unless I should have an accident with the bottle. I highly recommend this bottle to anyone who prefers glass drinking bottles. I would purchase it again if I should need one. I have only one request that I would like to ask of the company and that is to redesign the strap. It would be better to place it around the neck of the bottle, and not the cap. I threw the cap with the strap in my kitchen drawer. I use only the cap without the strap. Anyone who would dare use that strap and depend on carrying the bottle that way I expect will eventually be sorry they did. One should never pick up a jar by the lid so why on earth do companies make these glass bottles with straps on the caps?

Let me start out by saying, it is a cool bottle and nice that it came with two caps. HOWEVER, the glass is very thin, not what I expected, as well as the grip cover, very thin. Lo and behold, I dropped it ONCE and shattered in a million pieces. So very disappointed. I understand it is glass and glass breaks, but I bought this item thinking it was going to be MUCH more durable than what it actually is. I would not purchase or recommend this product. It is overpriced.

I am pleased to have found this product. It was important to me to find a bottle with ample capacity, and the time of day etchings along the side are helpful. Some reviewers have written the wrist strap has broken, so I take care not to let it dangle from the strap, particularly when it is full and at its heaviest. Another reviewer expressed disgust that mold developed inside the cap after awhile. All I can say is, "Didn't it occur to you to clean the bottle and cap thoroughly every week or so?" Most any item that is continually wet has potential to grow bacteria and mold. These bottles are a worthwhile investment. I purchased two so that I can always have one chilling in the fridge and ready to go.

Given how reviews are now, I feel like I should write a disclaimer that I'm just a normal customer. I didn't receive this for free for an "honest" review, I bought it for personal use like someone reading this review might. That said I don't like this water bottle. TLDR; I would recommend shopping around locally for glass water bottles as this has some design annoyances and is extremely expensive compared to what I've found. PROS + The advert says it's made out of "BOROSILICIATE GLASS" where they probably meant borosilicate, which is a type of glass that is uses silica and boron to be less likely to shatter from extreme temperature making it better suited for the dishwasher, but not much safer from impacts like dropping it. + Lighter weight then you would expect + 32 oz is bigger then many glass water bottles + Does Plastic leach chemicals, are our milk jugs (etc) going to make us sick? The only conclusive evidence was in a small study on baby bottles with BPA in them during extreme heat like with dishwashers (not when cleaned by hand), so while they might, they also might not, time will tell but I can see people wanted to switch to glass because of this so it's a positive. +No plastic or metallic taste, as with all glass. CONS - It's light weight is partially because it's thin, giving it a fragile feel, (some reviews claim theres broke very soon after purchase). - Screw on caps are left off a lot more than pop up caps, and take another hand to operate, so the caps are left off more, spilling is going to be more likely, and are more work in general. - Its fairly bottom heavy even for glass giving it an unbalanced feel when setting it down on your table/desk. - They're hard to fit in the dishwasher. In mine, the shape just doesn't work with the any of the different sections, which is interesting given that my Contigo of the same size fits fine. - Expensive! Costco sells a set of 2 slightly smaller, shatter resistant, machine washable, single hand operated, glass water bottles, with better covering silicone for about 16 dollars in store. - Recommended hand cleaning, not dishwasher though they are dishwasher safe.

This water bottle is red. Maybe I'm stupid but I thought it was pink. Anyway! It's a great water bottle. It keeps me on track throughout the day with drinking. The only thing that would make it better is if it gave me alarms when I forget to drink but what can I say I'm all about the digital age. Wonderful water bottle so far! I haven't dropped it but I've hit it against a wall or two and maybe even my babies head on accident and it hasn't been broken. The only thing to think about on this bottle is the weight. It's not heavy heavy. But for a water bottle it's got some weight to it. Just in case that bothers anyone reading these things. Happy drinking! [Update April 2016] Guys, I dropped it. It shattered. So the people are right. Now if you know that you won't drop it ever or it's staying at your desk or something. The product is great. After recently discovering my health problems stemmed from my Nalgene 32 oz. bottle leaching plastic into my water... I had to act fast. I found this bottle after just a couple of minutes on Amazon, so I had my doubts. This bottle exceeded my expectations. The height to width ratio is absolutely perfect. My wife has small hands & can comfortably hold and drink from this bottle. It is not as heavy as some of the reviews made it out to be. It's durable, and easy to clean. Spend the extra cash on this bottle, as it will last longer than plastic bottles AND it won't leach plastic into your water. I'm sure I'll be back later to buy more for the house. See the attached picture: I agree with the other reviewers that the oz. markings aren't the normal markings, but it doesn't matter. You know the bottle is 32 oz., so you can still calculate how much water you've drank with the markings provided. Also, the other side is marked from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM. I haven't seen this on the usual bottles found... And I think it's brilliant. It can help ease you into increasing your daily water intake. All in all, this is such a great investment. Note: we hand wash the bottle, but it might fit into your top rack if it's deeper than usual. Your best bet is to do bottom rack and don't put anything above it.

Boy not good. Just got this couple of days ago and wanted to try my favorite tea. Inserted couple of tea bags into the bottle waited for the water to boil and then pour from kettle. Waited for it to cool then noticed a ring of water on the counter and felt some grinding noise as I pick up and put the bottle down. Pour the tea down the sink remove the silicone sleeve to see then the bottom fell out on to the floor and cracked. Took some pics (see below) but the edges was pretty sharp as I cut myself trying to get a better angle for the pics. Not good... Ok gotta figure out how to return this and get a replacement. Nice bottle but last chance. Hope to have better luck with the next one. 6/30: SimpleLIfeMerchandise honored their warranty so I am changing to 4 stars. Putting bottle to use. Will update if any issues.

I liked this product so much that I have now ordered 3 more for a total of having 4 Trying to wean family from using plastic water bottles/buying water to drink Like the fact it has markings for time/ounces Will make for a great traveling bottle for long car trips I no longer use glasses or cups at home just fill bottle that way I know I've gotten my daily fluid intake I like the fact there is different colors so each family member has their color so we know who's is who's The cap is stainless steel so is strong not going to crack easy It is glass so you do have to handle with care but better then drinking out of plastic(no foreign taste just the taste of what you put in) Easy to clean, I will in future invest in their bottle brushes(I have bottle brushes already but seem to-put a little warm water and soap in bottle squeeze in my dish rag put on lid shake and turn bottle so all sides are washed by dishrag then hold upside down pull out dish rag rinse really good and tilt upside down to air dry The shipping is fast and company has been awesome to deal with I never give 5 stars to anyone but this company and this product have earned it I hope they keep me updated on all their new products
