Perfect for 2019 Outlander PHEV
Fits perfectly on my 2019 Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV. Very sturdy and good quality, as every CURT hitch. Installation was tight but super easy: I didn't even need to lower the exhaust! What I did have to do was to remove the factory installed rear towing eye (or hook) as the hitch needs to use those same frame holes. The process was very simple: 1. Get under the car and remove the towing eye 2. Place the bolts in the frame holes (2 on each side) 3. Raise the hitch to align its holes with the bolts and push the bolts thru to hold it in place 4. Use a 1/2" ratchet and a wrench to tighten the nuts And that's all.

This receiver is perfect for my PHEV. Installation was easy by myself in about 30 minutes.

Bad batch? Does not fit US model 2019 PHEV without significant modification
The hitch I ordered seemed well constructed, but upon install, I noticed that the stabilizing portion mounting under the frame rail was under-bent on the driver's side. The angle between the carriage bolts and the stabilizing portion should be 90 degrees (mirroring that of the frame rail), but the hitch I received was not bent to the full 90. As a result, the carriage bolt holes do not line up, and the hitch cannot be installed. Unfortunately, I do not have the tools to bend the thick steel myself (and doing so would flake the powder coating). UPDATE: With some bending, hammering, and drilling, I was able to make the hitch fit. Of course, had Curt constructed the hitch correctly, none of this would have been necessary. Perhaps I just received a bad one...

Doesn't fit correctly and needed lots of drilling and cutting:(
The hitch is specific for a 2022 Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV, but needed 2 of six holes drilled. The frame needed to be cut on both sides to mount correctly. Wow 6 hours of installation time is more than 30 minutes as is expected by the maker. The hitch is solidly made.

Perfect fit 2018 outlander.
I had my mechanic install it as I did not have the strength or tools for the install. Perfect fit and no changes to the rear bumper. Great fit.

Wasn't quite the easy bolt on fit but i still recommend it. Looks great and does what its meant to do with a really good price tag.
