⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I’ve been using the AFMAT Electric Pencil Sharpener in my classroom for over 2 years, and it has been extremely reliable. This pencil sharpener has handled hundreds of sharpenings without any issues, and I’m impressed with its performance. Pros: ✔️ Durable & Long-Lasting – After two years of daily use, it still works like new. The motor is strong, and the sharpener never jams. ✔️ Works on All Pencils – It sharpens No. 2 and colored pencils (6.5-8mm), making it versatile for all my classroom needs. ✔️ Quiet & Efficient – It’s quieter than most pencil sharpeners I’ve used, and it sharpens quickly and efficiently. ✔️ Helical Blade – The stronger helical blade provides a nice, sharp point every time, and it’s built to handle heavy use. Cons: ❌ None! – It’s been running smoothly with no problems. Final Verdict: This pencil sharpener is a classroom workhorse. I will try to be as honest as possible because I depend on other people's reviews and feel I want to help the best I can: I looked at many Pencil Sharpeners on Amazon and picked this one because it sounded and seemed more rugged and stronger plus still looking modern enough to fit in on my desk. Once it arrived I was glad I had picked it because it appears well-made. It has weight and feels well-made. It works quickly and sharpens pencils with perfectly centered points. The little rubber feet hold it in place even when pushing the pencil into the sharpener. Only thing I did not appreciate was they had placed a silver sticker on the top of the sharpener warning me to not insert the pencil into the hole crooked. REALLY ? I hate when companies put goofy stickers on products. I purchased this because I liked the sleek totally black look it had. On the good side, I was able to peel the sticker off. It was a metal type that left lots of gooey sticky on the black pencil sharpener. I then took some WD-40 and spray it onto a paper towel and let it drip onto the glue stickiness. In case you are confused, WD-40 has Kerosene in it, which is the best thing ever to dissolve glue residue off items. I was able to clean it up and now you can not tell a sticker was ever placed on it. This works on all stickers. I have even used it to remove sticker residue from products like Record Albums. Just be careful to verify the material will not react to the WD-40 before getting it all over the item. This might be something most people in the world could care less about. Sadly it would've driven me crazy every time I looked at it had I not removed the sticker. I now love the pencil Sharpener and highly recommend it.

As someone who prefers writing with wood graphite pencils in work journals, this sharpener worked very well to sharpen pencils without points breaking. Recommend it for any home office.

I give it 5 stars. I like my pencils to always be sharp. This unit, so far, does the job! Over and over again. It is fast and makes a very sharp point. It is robust, powerful, and sturdy. I have a sense it may last many years for me.

I had a pencil sharpener that was nearly 20 years old. It was a great workhorse. This last year though it started making funny noises and didn’t sharpen very well. Then it just stopped working altogether. So I purchased this one. I was unsure about how good it would work, but was hopefully optimistic. Man oh man was I pleasantly surprised. It worked fantastic. I use colored pencils to design quilt blocks. This requires the pencils be a very sharp point and this pencil sharpener does the job extremely well. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is because a pencil tip broke off inside of it and I could not find it. Plus it sounded like it was really struggling to work. I did everything that is recommended before I finally gave up. I’ve only had it for about 2 weeks, using only a few hours in the early morning hours before kids are up and it was giving out. The seller was great and sent me a new one in replacement. If not for that I would have gladly given it 5 stars. I’m hoping it doesn’t do that again. I’ll update later.

After suffering through a number of "made for school use" pencil sharpeners that burned out over a short amount of time (planned obsolescence?) I used my own money to buy this Afmat electric pencil sharpener for my classroom. It was one of the best purchases I ever made. It's lasted at least 3 times longer than the other sharpeners I had and, even after some student "disaster" happens (e.g. a too-short-to-sharpen pencil gets stuck far inside) I have been able to get it working again (by using a longer pencil to push the short one through). I would highly recommend this over cheaper brands because it's a work horse.

I have read several critical reviews for this product that talk about poor sharpening, weak motor, etc. I don't know what they are talking about. Maybe the company improved the motor recently but this is a solid Pencil Sharpner, that is almost as good as the classic Panasonic sharpener I used to have. First the Good: It is heavy. I have a smooth glass desk and I can easily sharpen pencils one-handed without it moving around. It makes a satisfying loud but not too loud grinding sound. It is not an anemic, weak motor. It has some grunt. It can chew through a pencil, but if you push lightly, it will stop drawing the pencil in once the proper angle is achieved. It feels solid and well-built. The Bad: As you can see in the picture, the angle is slightly off, so it does sharpen the pencil more on one side than the other, but it is not significantly off, just not perfect like my old Panasonic was. While it is solid, the plastic body does have a little flex, not as rock solid as I would like. if it dropped, I imagine the plastic might crack. Bottom line: This is the best new Sharpner I have found. I have tried hand crank and battery-powered models from Amazon too. They have all let me down and failed to live up to my expectations. But this sharpener is a quality product. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is that it isn't quite as good as the classic Panasonic Sharpeners that are no longer made. Those are the gold standard. UPDATE: I've owned and used this sharpener for a few months now. It has given me no problems and continues to work great. One thing I have noticed is that it doesn't eat your pencils. If you don't push too hard you get a sharp point without eating a lot of wood, so my pencils are lasting a really long time. That means it is good for my wife's expensive art pencils as well as my writing pencils. As a result, I am upgrading my ranking from 4 to 5 stars.

So far, this sharpener is excellent. It sharpens very fast and the pencils are very sharp. It's heavy enough that it doesn't move as you're pushing pencils into it. It is heavy duty and will not overheat if you have a lot of pencils to sharpen at one time.

Absolutly huge SCAM useless and dangerous, It is nowhere specified that it is120v on the item description( I have screenshot of the amazon page) and doesn'tfit the 220v of the international sell market !! I think it is intentional to increase the sells !! unfortunately no return available too !!! AGAIN THIS IS 120V AND NOT 220V ,
