Great Stuff 99112849 Smart Dispenser Pond & Stone, 12 oz, Black

I bought this to seal a septic tank riser to my septic tank and it was easy to use and works well for my application and need. There was plenty of it to use for the job that I was doing with some left over to do a few other things. It wasn't messy at all since they've made it reusable. It sealed everything nicely. It didn't have an odor at all. As for the looks it won't matter in my application. It served its purpose for what it was intended for. It did fill the gaps nicely for my purposes. I couldn't find this in my home improvement store so I bought it along with the riser at the same time. Glad that whomever made this stuff reusable and easier to use made it for homeowners to use later if not all used up at one time within a 30 day period.

I was hesitant the spray patterns would make it look weird so I used a glove to mess it up so it was even while spraying. Came out strong at first and then fizzled out and was kinda hard to spray. Can get messy if you aren't careful. I used one and a half cans for the back of my 20gal tank. Pretty easy to do if you are patient- I let mine cure for a week because snakes are sensitive to glasses and fumes. Afterwards I took a sharp little knife and carved some peices in the back so they looked a little more rock like. Looks amazing ( I'm getting a charcoal pool soon so it will match the back wall haha). Super happy with the turn out!

It's great stuff. Finding the color black isn't always easy as I travel around the country in an RV, so Amazon is a good place to find it consistently as well as being a bit cheaper.

I used this on my dart frog tank to make a background. It turned out really good.

I have been using aquarium cement for putting rocks together for my reef aquarium but it was always a pain and it didn't really hold well together. This foam is completely different beast. It holds the rocks to get us so well you can grab it by one of the rocks and everything else stays securely attached to it. The strength is much better than the usual insulation foam in the spray can you can buy at Lowe's. The yellow kind. A strong word of warning though, this black foam is really nothing like the usual yellow one. When you work with it, absolutely use disposable gloves because this thing sticks to your skin so well that it's took me more than a week to get it rid off my skin. And it's more that my old skin just peel off after a week, not that the foam would peel off the skin. On the other hand it's the testament how well this thing sticks. Which also means you don't have to use too much of it on the rock. It will expand quite a bit and if you put too much it will just get out everywhere. EDIT: I have the structures in my tank for almost a year and everything holds still like the first day. Moreover, Even tho the nozzle dried, I removed it and put there another one from normal foam can and it still worked almost a year later! I glued 5 towers (4-6 stones, 16-20" tall) and about 10 smaller structures and there is still some left in the can.

I wanted to create a backdrop for my ball python's 4x2x2 terrarium. This product is good but the issue with trying to use something like this to cover that much area is that the "pond and stone" version of it is formulated to not expand very much because of its use for between ponds and stones lol. I found this to be an issue because I needed to cover a lot of area and one can of this doesn't go very far at all. It's also 2 if not 3 times more expensive than the regular red can. The nice thing about using this is that the foam is black which blends in well for a background. So if you have smaller area to cover, this can work well. The Great Stuff in the red can (Gaps and Cracks) is much better to work with because since it expands further, the foam goes further in your project and it makes it waaay easier to carve to your liking if you so choose to do so. Then you could cover it with black aquarium silicone. It is really water resistant and holds up to humidity well. Make sure you wear gloves. The foam does have a slight smell but it goes away pretty quickly and cures in a day. I would like to say that after completing my ball python's terrarium, I would highly recommend against using the foam/silicone method as it is tedious and kind of outdated. It took forever to carve the foam and a month for the silicone to no longer off-gas after covering the foam. I'd recommend using the cork board method instead and just using the foam to attack branches, etc.

Recently installed a small water feature in backyard-we needed something to seal the rocks to prevent the water from leaking out of the spillway. This fit the bill! Easy to use after reading the instructions, and blends right in so hardly noticeable. Really happy with buying this. And even after a full year of heat, snow, etc it’s still working. Would definitely buy again.

Super pour modeler un terrarium. Mon fond de terrarium humide et effectué avec ce produit et même après un ans, il tient toujours aussi bien. À utiliser la même journée puisque le restant finis par sécher dans la paille et très difficile de le refaire fonctionner.
