SEIKO Watch for Men - Blue Dial

I seriously recommend that any watch collector who seeks out sleek and stylish watches with useful features purchase this one. I am loyal to the brands that bring quality, which Seiko certainly does, and this watch does not disappoint. After spending a couple of hundred dollars a few years ago to have all of my battery-driven watches' batteries replaced and several of them refurbished, I started to look for solar-powered watches. I bought this one soon thereafter and have not had a single complaint about it since. It's size is on the med-large end, so that the face is large enough for a big guy like me (6'1", 300lbs), but not so much as to overpower a more slender dude. The band is solid and sturdy, with enough play in it to be comfortable and still maintain toughness from its metal construction. The truly futuristic silver and black design has gotten me many compliments on this watch, and fits with any dress code - works with jeans and a nice t-shirt just as nicely as it does if you are wearing business attire. If you want a quality watch at a low-med price, not worry about batteries anymore, and have it be a piece that catches the eye, just hit the button and buy it now.

I have only been wearing this watch for about five days so it could develop problems, but at this point it is great. It is very attractive. It was easy and intuitive to set, plus the instructions were well-written. It seems very well-made. In my experience this is a pretty heavy watch--but I haven't typically had heavy watches. It feel substantial. I have shied away from metal bands because of fit and wear issues, but this one is quite comfortable. My wrist is about 7 1/2" so the band was large. I took out a couple of links and it fits well. I bought one of the little tools for sale on Amazon and it did the trick, but it is not well-made so I am glad I did not pay more. If you think you would buy a watch with a band that needs to be adjusted, you ought to check out the how to videos on YouTube. Some folks there suggest ways to remove links without buying the tool.

I love the solar charging aspect of it so I don't have to change batteries, and the watch itself looks amazing and extremely classy. But there are a few downsides: 1. The link edges that touch the skin are a bit sharp so the first few days I was constantly itching, and I don't have the band tight either. I guess the skin will get used to it. 2. The color in the center of the links is black, not dark gray like in the photo, and unless you are in bright daylight, the watch looks black. Fine for some, but if you are looking for a gray/dark gray watch, this is not it. It's way darker in real life than in the picture. 3. The second hand that goes around the dial like in other watches is instead a stopwatch, so it just sits there at the 12 o'clock position, while the actual second hand is the tiny dial on the left at the 9 o'clock position. I would have liked if it would function instead as a stopwatch when needed, and as a second hand the rest of the time as it just sits there taking up space and looks a bit weird - exactly as it is in the picture. 4. No day of the week dial. Instead of the top small dial being used as a stopwatch minute dial, would be better if it had the day of the week. I mean, I check my watch for the day of the week waaay more often than I would use a stopwatch. I don't think I'll ever use the stopwatch functions on this watch, so the dials are going to sit there wasting space. To summarize, the watch looks very very very good on your hand, but lacks usability and some functionality.

I believe in Seiko as a quality watchmaker. I love the quality and price of the watch which I gave as a gift to my granddaughter’s husband. It is a solar watch. It required a lot of hours to charge the battery so it would operate properly. The size was ideal . Seiko has a reputation for durability and comfort, while having a pleasant heftiness to it. It

The Watch was delivered to me in three days. I bought it as a knock-around watch, but it is too nice for that kind of treatment. It works as advertised. I was able to shorten the metal band after figuring out that each link is held in place with a stainless steel pin, not a screw. The pins can be pushed out with a very small hobby screw driver, and easily replaced to create a shorter band. The hour and minute hands, and the 5-minute markers on the face, glow in the dark after placing them in a bright light. I was disappointed to find that they glow for approximately 10 minutes; not nearly long enough to be a useful feature.

I really like the Seiko watch even more then I thought I would! The picture definitely didn't do it justice. It's a very classy high quality looking watch and it came in a nice case with a tiny pillow that said Seiko and what topped it off was when I saw the retail price tag and realized I had saved over $200. It also came with easy to understand directions on how to set it and take care of it. The shipping came faster then expected. I'm extremely happy with my Seiko watch and with Amazon! Thank you!

Lasted less than 6 months be for losing time then stop altogether

Fantastic watch I have ever seen

Em ambientes com pouca luz ele fica em um ton mais escuro, parecendo cor grafite, e em ambientes com mais luz ele fica em um ton mais prateado e reflete muita luz! Brilha muito e chama muito atenção!
