Love these magnets! I use them with magnetic machine embroidery hoops and with the honeycomb base in my laser engraver. I had purchased a thinner magnet in the past, but wanted a thicker, stronger magnet. These are perfect. They are very powerful, and being thicker, are easier for me to handle. They have a smooth finish. I had a spare rafter/truss plate that I covered with clear packing tape to hold the magnets when I am not using them. That makes it much easier to avoid them snapping together and pinching fingers and/or breaking. They are much easier to grip than the thinner magnets I had before. As I use them almost daily, they are well worth the price.

Smaller than I thought they would be, so if you are particular pay attention to the measurement from the vendor. These work really well. I use these to help close a mesh door. They work along with the original magnets they came with the door. They a very good assistants.

Strength of these magnets is excellent!! They are actually so strong it can be hard to remove them from the surface. Nice thickness and not at all expensive for how easy and well they work. I did realize a problem that should be noted. The magnets can crack and shatter if allowed to snap together too sharply. I did not realize this would happen when I was removing and stacking them together to put away after use. Their magnetic field is so strong I was just letting them snap together into a pile. I did not know several had cracked until I picked up the stack and saw crack lines on some of them. I am still very happy with them. I will just be more deliberate in not letting them snap together sharply. Due to the ability to crack I have given a 4 star rating.

Awesome little buggers

to begin with i ordered these to put up signs to keep others from dumping trash into our dumpsters. they take and swap out those dumpsters every other week. i needed magnets for the signs so that i could remove then and then put them back up once that is done. these magnets looked like they would do the job. on arrival the first thing i noticed was that the top couple of magnetics were smashed into tiny pieces? so there is no solid metal these are a composite material. they are similar in size to quarters both in diameter and depth. stacked they actually look like a stack of quarters not magnets. but as said some were smashed up. this is where i found how powerful they are. trying to get the broken bits off the rest of the magnets was not an easy task by any means. fyi due to how breakable they are REMEMBER the 6" rule. if you get two of these within 6" of each other they'll literally jump out of your hands to 'grab' each other. no wonder they put small plastic dividers between them so you can pull them apart. therein lies another problem. they do not come with adhesive already applied to the backs. instead they send some generic looking round glue tabs. even after letting these sit for awhile before putting up the magnets are far too strong for the adhesive to hold up when the item is removed. at most i was able to lift the sign off once before the magnets ripped off the glue tabs. simply not a good design for magnets intended to be removed with whatever they are attached to. the magnets that did make it unbroken cannot be used for their intended purpose all due to the glue/sticky tabs not holding up. so between the fragile nature of these and the lack of adhesion with the glue/sticky portion i can't recommend these. they are amazingly strong magnets but with two too many flaws for me. they might well work out for others which is why i gave them a three star rating and not two. FYI amazon customer service as usual was great. i let them know about the broken magnets and the issue was resolved in under five minutes. i appreciate that very much!

They hold the cover well. Hopefully they stick because I’m conscious of this potentially falling onto a record as it’s playing and scratching it. But it seems super stable for now. “Lift up and away, don’t pull directly away, for maximum staying power” we say.
