All 5 CD's sound great. *by D***H on Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on February 24, 2023* Jeff's passing had me checking my music collection. This helped fill a large gap. I feel silly for not owning them before. Got to see Jeff once with Buddy Guy. All these CD were mastered very well with nice separation and dynamic range. Genius all the way ### ⭐⭐⭐ Jeff Beck There and Back - You Had it Coming *by U***Y on Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on January 18, 2023* 3-star rating for quality of music, production/sound quality and purchase price. It's Jeff Beck so if you are already a fan you are used to his eclectic tastes, constant changes in direction and his willingness to alienate part of his audience (at least temporarily) in pursuit of his art. If you are new to him then you are in for an eye and ear-opening intro to a one-of-a-kind talent. There is PLENTY to like about this 5-cd offering. He is in a class by himself and in his 50 plus year career, proved himself to be the most innovative guitarist in Rock history. He played impactful notes and conveyed emotion like no other. You not only hear his playing-you feel it as well. The only other guitarist that rivaled and, in some ways, surpassed him is Jimi Hendrix. Hendrix laid down the musical blueprint and set the bar for all Rock guitarists to come. After in few years of woodshedding and trial and error, Beck met the bar then shattered it and blazed his own trail. If you are new to his music, these discs are mostly instrumental guitar-based music from the 80's and 90's that vary in style (rock, jazz, fusion, electronica hybrid and dashes of pop). FYI, the There and Back disc is not remastered, and sounds muffled so 1 star deducted. Another star deducted due to some of the material sounding dated and (IMO) did not age well. All in all, very little to complain about considering the price I paid for it in 2020. If you are a music collector your catalog is not complete without JB. Sadly, we lost him last week and the music world is less without him. His adventurous and sometime rebellious spirit along with his drive to continue to change and reach higher heights is a huge loss. Thank you for all the wonderful music.
