In the description it says to hang 1.96” above floor, that is because it clears most floorboards at that height. If properly installed using a ruler or measuring tape, you will not have any troubles with accuracy. Or if you want the easiest way to do this: I used a wooden ruler and measured the 1ft marker with the ruler standing straight up from the ground.This fits perfectly in my daughters room! It matches the colors and theme, we love it. It is very durable and rugged. It will not rip easily. The material can withstand being wiped/lightly cleaned. It is much more than I expected. It will last for years and we cannot wait to watch our daughter grow and use it to mark her height on all of her birthdays!**Remember to use a ruler or measuring tape to hang it at the proper height to get it accurate, it does not sit at the ground when hung, it is meant to go above most floor boards.
