Fabulous fabric!!! I sew professionally and as a fiber artist. I am leery of buying fabrics that I can't see and feel, but, needed to top-off an order for free shipping, so I took a chance on this basic black. So glad I did! It is very, very good quality, weight and texture and the solid black is vivid! Hancock's of Paducah is a fabulous [mainly] quilting fabric store in Paducah KY, which I happened to visit when I was in town. I did not realize or notice when I placed this order that they were the sellers. It came faster than anything else in the order, most of which has not even shipped yet and very well protected in plastic and the mailer. So very, very pleased with this and will definitely look into buying online from Hancock's of Paducah again and again. By the way, this store is not associated in any way with the national chain of hobby-fabric stores, many of which have recently closed. Of course, also, Kaufman is a well known top quality fabric. I needed a basic black for the background on a quilt to be made and this is the perfect weight for this purpose. This fabric is perfect also for any clothing, home furnishings, etc.

Is this really Kona Fabric?
Is this real Kona Pure Solids Cotton? I ran out of my black Kona Pure solid fabric, which I purchased from a quilt store, and needed more. I purchased this, but the fabrics are totally different in weight, color & texture. This is really nice fabric, but it feels more like AGF (art gallery fabrics), not Kona. It matched ok, and there's zero fraying, so that's nice. The black is a great color too, but if you ask me, I don't believe it's Kona cotton. I will purchase again when I want a thinner lightweight fabric. Easy to cut . Wrinkles iron out easy.
