It is packaged as pictured; the Spanish government 'consejo regulador de la denominacion de origen' tag is sewn to the cloth bag containing the rice; and above all, it cooks up to make a beautiful pot of swollen, separate grains of rice that absorb about four times their volume in stock and seasonings. In short, it does exactly what bomba rice is supposed to do.I make mine with crumbled saffron threads, a bit of sauteed onion and a generous pinch of aleppo pepper, then let it rest before fluffing it up with a dollop of butter or a bit of best quality olive oil.The price for a full kilo of rice is great; the shipping was lightning quick; in all, a great purchase.UPDATE 2018: This item formerly was eligible for prime shipping, and at that was a great deal. The price has recently gone up about 20%, and shipping is now about the same cost as the rice itself. At twice the price, this is no longer a srnsible purchase. Only type of rice my wife can eat. For some reason regular long grain rice she cannot eat without stomach problemsl. Like it catches. Anyway, this type of rice she likes and can eat with no problems Price is higher than long grain but for me, well worth it as my wife loves rice and this rice she can eat with no stomach problems because it cooks up more tender and moist. Just have to make sure that you add enough liquid. 3 to 5 times what you would add to long grain rice.
