Korg GA1 Guitar and Bass Tuner

Great compact tuner. The Korg shipped with batteries and worked great right out of the box. Allows user to tune electric or acoustic guitars, by either 1/4" input cable or via the built in microphone. And since I own and play both, my purchase worked out great. It also has a built sound emulator, which allows you to tune by ear. So, forget buying an expensive tuner! This little sucker tunes perfect every time. Thanks Korg for designing such an inexpensive and user friendly product. And of course thanks to Amazon for selling. I love it and highly recommend it.

This is such a great bargain! It works great with an electronic arrow which indicates a string is in tune when it comes to the middle of the screen as you play each string to tune the guitar. I have tried several different kinds of tuners, others that were much more expensive that did not perform as well as this one does. It is so compact you can carry it in a pocket or in your gig bag middle compartment. I got one for my husband and niece as well when they got guitars. I highly recommend it!

I always buy Korg tuners, since I was a wee lad. They last a decade or more, with reliable, accurate tunings throughout the battery life, and they're simple to use. I recently ordered a GA1 to replace a very old Korg tuner, and when a shipping snafu resulted in me buying two by accident, I liked the first one so much I decided to pay for and keep them both. Excellent product and an excellent price.

So I bought this tuner for my new guitar because as a noob beginner guitarist, there was no way in hell I was going to be able to tune it by ear. The instructions seemed pretty basic enough, just hold it or place it near you guitar turn it on, set it to guitar, and play a string while tuning it until the correct note is played. The minor problems that I've come across is that sometimes while getting it tuned just right, I felt like the string was being pulled to tight, although the tuner stated it still needed to be pulled tighter. Assuming the inanimate tuner has way more knowledge about this kind of stuff than me, I decided to keep tightening it and then "BOING!" The string broke. Well, there we go, one broken string from an inaccurate reading. The reason that I say this is minor is because 99% of the other times I have used this it has worked perfect, but if you feel the string is being pulled to tight and the tuner is telling you otherwise, I suggest you turn it off and turn it back on before continuing or else you can end up with a broken string, though not expensive, is always an inconvenience.

Great guitar tuner for anyone from a beginner to advance

Cheap but high quality! Works well equally with acoustic and electric. Never tried in a high noise environment but it tunes my guitars easily. On the acoustic, I just place it near the soundhole in the guitar. Not too close but within a foot or so. Then within a minute, every string is in tune. On the electric, connect it in-line between the guitar and the amp.It will be in-tune in no time! Comes with "heavy duty" AAA batteries that won't last long and are usually not sealed that well . So I replace them with high quality alkaline or lithium batteries soon after first use. If new to the guitar or your ears are failing like mine, you need this little jewel!

I give a few guitar lessons and have tried several other models for students to use. I've even tried smartphone tuning apps. This tuner is the best for the money. The first one I purchased I loaned to a student and it was destroyed by the student trying to take it apart. I wasn't happy. I bought another and again loaned it to a student that didn't have the money to purchase one and they still have it and it works great. I purchased this one to replace the loaner. It is the easiest tuner I've found to use, and to teach students how to use. It is an essential tool for beginners.

Been using it for two years to tune my bass. Flawless. Can be used with the patch cord or open-air, so it's very convenient. Also capable of flat-tuning.

This gadget is amazing making it so easy to tune acoustic or electric guitars it really is a no-brainer at this price. Play the note on the guitar and the LEDs and screen show you if you have to tighten or loosen the string. When the note is spot on a green LED illuminates to show it is in tune. Simple. It has a built in microphone to listen to the note played or electric guitars can plug in the side. Your guitar will never be out of tune again.

Lo utilizo con un bajo eléctrico de 4 cuerdas. Cumple su función a la perfección. El único detalle ocurre cuando bajo la cuarta cuerda de E a D, en esa sentido no capta esa frecuencia tan baja. Pero para afinación estándar es excelente.
