Review: Works a charm. - Our original float valve (though instant pot claims their lids are dishwasher safe) started to corrode in the dishwasher, and instant is out of the part, which tells me that it's a common problem piece. This replacement is taller, let me emphasis that point, it is NOT the same length as the piece it replaced, but it WILL WORK. Don't panic, lol. I actually prefer the additional height, it gives a much clearer visual indication of achieving a seal. The part is smooth and well made, the aluminum is anodized and not just painted, and the seals appear to be good silicone, passing all the non destructive tests. I can't tell these seals from the factory ones, which I suppose is a good thing. All in all I'd buy it again, and I'm half tempted to, because I only got one small seal for the valve stem and not two. Not worth taking off a star in my book, but worth mentioning.

**Q: Will this work for a ip-lux60 v3?**
A: All of the replacements that I've ordered on Amazon haven't worked.  I finally ordered directly from Instant Pot to get an exact replacement.

**Q: Is there an additional piece that goes on top of the valve?**
A: No there’s just a silicone ring it goes around the bottom. Amazon sent me the wrong part. I ordered the correct part from Insta pot.

**Q: Does this fit the 10 qt Duo Nova 100? It looks the exact same.**
A: I have Cook Essential and did not fit

A: I have the smaller sized duo, but it's fits mine fine and I would expect that they use the same float valve on all the models, since it's not a part related to size.

I tried using some off brand rings which didn't work, so now I only buy my replacement parts from the company. I use my Instant Pot at least every other day for several years,

I purchased this set because I needed the "open hole" valve gasket. The image looked exactly like the one I needed and it did fit my 6 qt. Instant Pot Model IP-LUX60-V3 PERFECTLY!!!! I did not need the valve but I replaced it anyways. The valve gasket has an OPEN HOLE in the middle and is NOT a solid piece of Silicone. This is the style that my Instant Pot model needed. I previously had purchased a solid silicone gasket from a different seller, that was described as "fitting" ALL 6 qt Instant Pots, and it did not fit properly. The pressure did not build up and steam kept releasing from valve. Make sure your silicone gasket LOOKS exactly like what you order, don't rely on descriptions that "claim" they fit all 6 qt machines.
