Is it double sided? I mean can I flip the disk to write

no...it is single sided double layer. means u hv 8.5 gb in one side...no need to flip the disk

I have two questions 1. can we write data(iso image) into this dvd and 2. can we burn through burn to disc option availabile in windows 7

Ans 1, Yes you can write ISO file into this DVD. Ans 2, Yes you can Burn through Burn to Disc Option in Windows 7, However, if You simply copy ISO into drive and then burn it Will burn whole ISO file and not it's contents
