We have used some very expensive name brand radios for years. They have not been the most dependable or durable. To replace one cost close to $400. I found these on desertcart as a set of 9, yes 9 radios, for around the $400 mark. I took a chance and bought a set. The communications is so much clearer with these units. I left one turned on overnight to see how the batter would last and when I came in the next day it still showed 1/2 charge. Our expensive radios had trouble talking from inside of our metal freezer to the front office. These Samcom FPCN30A units have absolutely no problem communicating from inside the freezer. Though I don't recommend that you try this at home, our maintenance team has already dropped one of the units a couple of times from around 5' with no ill results. As a 30 veteran electronic technician, I am impressed with the features and quality of this radio. I had a couple of questions when I first fired them up on a Saturday so I fired off an email to the company. In just a matter of minutes I had a response that answered all of my questions. If you are looking for some new radios, give these a try and you won't be disappointed. I have worn he BT earpiece for a few days now. I absolutely love the convenience of no wires to get in my way as I work. I can even take my radio off my belt and still be connected as long as I stay in close proximity to the radio. I plug it in to charge overnight and put it on at 5am when I begin equipment set up. It stays on and in my ear until at least 5pm, when I go home. As you can see it is lasting 12+ hours on a charge with moderate use. That is awesome. On the transmit side, the sound is awesome, better than any of the other types of earpieces. It is extremely muffled. I do love the comfort of the earpiece and the fact that it has small holes in it to let some background noise in. I wear it for 12 hours a day with no real discomfort. In this 18 months I have purchased about 50 radios. I had a small problem with one, very possibly caused by the user.
