Spalding Never Flat Football

This ball is very tacky and appears to be very well made, and at an excellent price. I had researched a few different options before purchasing this Never Flat Football. I also had some input from some local sports stores. When I called inquiring about one of their best synthetic footballs (I know there will be some concrete time which would more quickly mar a leather ball), guess what they recommended? Yep. This one. Order it and have fun! Go Big Red!

I love this football because it has a lot of the qualities that the other way more expensive footballs like it have. With the never flat technology and rubberized grip on it. It is great for casual game play. Plus at $15 with prime shipping, it is as good as several balls I have seen costing $40/$50.

I didn't give it a 45 star rating because the ball comes with an adhesive sticker over the fill hole, directing the user not to remove the fill the hole plug for at least 1 year. This plug is to prevent the ball from possibly losing air. When I peeled the sticker off the ball the coloring of the ball came off with it. Well it doesn't damage or effect the ball in anyway except cosmetically. I was a bit startled to see the top layer removed with the sticker. Other than that the ball is a very good product. We've had it for a couple months and played with my son a few times and he loves it. Very good quality.

"NeverFlat" is not true. We bought this for our three sons who love to play football several nights a week. We needed a ball that would last (at least for the fall) and not go flat! We banked on this one due to the name, and, for the first couple of weeks, it was great. After that, it slowly lost air and now, a month and a half later, the boys don't even want to use it because it is going flat. Did NOT live up to its name...Disappointed.

My son loves it and it's very tacky, almost too tacky. I'm sure the finish will wear over time and the surface will become less gluey to the touch. It's not bad, but on a humid day, it feels really sticky and did throw off a few passes. But overall, it came inflated and in perfect condition, so it's a good ball.UPDATE: after just a month or so, the finish on the ball is wearing away. It's still tacky and inflated, but where our thumb touches the ball to throw is worn away! It's a much lighter shade of color than the rest of the ball and is smoother. Still a nice ball, but just not as durable as I'd like.

Good football, seemed pretty good at first, but with 5 boys, after a few months, it went flat. Kinda disappointed. Granted, 5 kids can play rough, but for boys that watch Dora the Explorer and play with kitchen playsets and whatnot, there wasn't a HUGE amount of use, but it still went flat. *sigh*. The search continues...

When this product arrived it was deflated furthermore it had a defective valve and could not be inflated. I would not recommend this football.
