Applying Heat Transfer tape on a garment is very easy with the vinyl part on the bottom (in touch with the garment) and the plastic carrier sheet on the top. You apply iron (at about 310 F) and then peel out the carrier plastic out. There are many many DIY videos on YouTube. Hope that helps. **Q: can this be applied to nylon or polyester?** A: Yes, you can. However, polyesters are very sensitive to temperature when it comes to heat press.....so, minimize temperatures and exposure time. Efectivamente el producto no viene con instrucciones, pero después de varias pruebas me di cuenta que es muy fácil de colocar. Después de hacer el diseño y cortar las tiras las pude colocar con la plancha de la ropa y una tela delgada entre la prenda y la plancha para protegerla del calor excesivo en partes que no lo necesitaban. Puedes ver fácilmente cuando ya está pegado ya que el papel transfer se despega un poco en los bordes.Contrariamente a otros comentarios, si brilla, brilla bastante. Pero no lo parece ya que antes de quitar el papel transfer después de transferirlo con calor no brilla. Here are enhanced instructions:BEFORE STARTING - UNDERSTAND THE TAPE: Cut a small piece of tape and examine the tape. Separate the clear plastic (called the “transparent film”) from the gray tape (called the “reflective tape”). The bottom-side of the gray tape (opposite the side with the clear plastic) is the side that adheres to the fabric - it is called the “adhesive side” but it does not feel sticky - the “adhesive” is activated by the heat from your iron. Discard the separated tape - do not use in the next step!DO A TRYOUT with another small piece of tape (unseparated) on a scrap piece of fabric - preferably the same fabric you will be using.HOW TO APPLY:1. Iron your fabric to get any wrinkles out, and to preheat your fabric. Preheating the fabric will help the tape adhere better. Do not use steam.2. Cut the iron on / heat transfer reflective tape to desired length. Do not separate the transparent film from the reflective tape.3. Set the heat temperature of iron at about 120*C (~250*F ~ medium heat setting). Do not use steam.4. Place the tape (with the transparent film still attached) with the adhesive side down on the fabric. The transparent film side should be facing up toward you.5. Put the iron onto the tape and move it along the tape pressing firmly - but not too firmly. Pressing too firmly will cause the tape to stretch and result in puckering.
