Gordon Glass® Clear Tapered Shower Door Bottom Seal and Sweep T Type - 36 in Long, Height - Tapered from 7/8" to 1/2"

After replacing my shower door sweep TWICE with the wrong part, I finally found this little gem which is tapered and fits my door perfectly. I’m very happy with this purchase and shipping was much faster than estimated.

This looks a lot larger in the picture, but it exactly matched my old one that got hard and started to breakdown. I am very happy with the purchase and it was very easy to install on my shower door!

Purchased in May '13 from Gordon Glass. Fresh stock, flexible seal, perfect fit! The seal on my original 9 year old shower door needed replacement. The seal has hardened and cracked and consequently started falling apart. I pulled out a 4" long piece intact and noticed that it's a T-seal, with the top of the T being 5/32 wide and approx 7/16" tall. Since my original seal was in pieces and I only used a 4" piece for reference, I never noticed that it was tapered. I kept looking everywhere on the net for a 5/32 x 7/16" but could not find anything that came close. The only T-seal that I could find that is 5/32" is this one. But it's 7/8" and that's not what I need (I thought - I didn't pay attention to the fact that it's tapered). I decided to order it anyway, thinking that I can cut it lenghtwise to size, although it would have been a major hassle. When I received the replacement and removed the original seal, to my big surprise I noticed that the original one was tapered too. The replacement was about 10" too long and needs to be cut to size. When I cut a few inches off one end, the 3/8" height of the replacement seal becomes 7/16". Turns out it's an exact replacement for the old seal. So, if your T-seal is 5/32" wide, there's a good chance this is the one. Don't make the same mistake I did and waste time by being fooled by a small sample piece of the original seal - pull out the complete old seal so you can see if it's tapered or not.

We have a single pivot shower door. Tried finding this locally as the original seal was only 7 years old and we weren’t ready to redo the bathroom. Took a few minutes to find on Amazon but it fit perfectly and trimmed easily with regular scissors (trimmed to fit our door). Perfect and easy!

My original seal was 7/8" wide along the entire length. I thought I would try this tapered seal (Part # ZV904V) instead and installed it with the narrower end placed nearest to the door hinge side - which is also closest to the shower head. This orientation worked out well and splashing water doesn't escape beyond the seal at any point along the entire length. I was originally was concerned that the 1/2" wide end might not be tall enough but it still makes contact (barely) with the threshold. Seal is a flexible vinyl and was packaged rolled-up so that kinks did not occur. Ordered from Technologylk.com on July 23rd and received on the 29th.

This is the exact part I needed for my shower door. I initially had bought one that was not tapered, and didn't realized I needed a tapered one until after installing and seeing it didn't cover the gap from end to end. If I need another one in a few years, I will be coming back here for one.
