The headlight works very well, and the settings are outstanding. The bright is very bright. And, it has a lower wattage setting to save batteries. The flashing red or white (your choice) is a great idea in the event you need to send a help signal. I'm changing my original review because I have since been able to use the headlamp and can tell you it works very well. Here is an even better reason for 5 STARS. I had full support from MyRoii's Customer Satisfaction Rep, Michelle, from the moment I originally rated this product 3 stars. The same day, she took steps to resolve the issues I had with the shipment. And, check this out, I even recieved an email directly from one of the owners at MyRoii asking about experience and he stated he would do anything to guarantee my happiness. THANK YOU MICHELLE!!! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good valued headlamp - and comfy! *by T***C on July 5, 2017* I purchased this headlamp for use while hiking in the Grand Canyon in case we were out on trails after dark. Luckily, we had no unforeseen issues that required us to use the lights. While that is a good thing, I have not been able to test the lights fully. I have another headlamp that I can compare it to and this headlamp is much more comfortable to wear. Also, the light output is brighter. I think this headlamp would have worked without issue if needed. Unfortunately, I was not able to test how long the light would operate with the vendor supplied batteries. From my somewhat limited hands-on comparison, I feel that this is a good headlight and a great value for the price. Compared to other alternatives, I would recommend this light * with the caveat of testing the runtime. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Can't go wrong. *by L***X on October 17, 2016* Low price point gets what you would expect. This is a nice headlamp, solid build and comfortable to wear. Not as bright as some others but it cost less than those. For the most part this light will be bright enough for most uses. I find with the brighter models I have to turn it down to a lower setting anyway in order to not induce night blindness. I think it is best to acclimate to the least light you need to see safely. This unit exceeds that standard by a long shot. It actually came with a "useful" wrist band. Not the usual rubber band that has little or no use. This band is a really nice wide yellow reflector slap band that fits any size wrist, arm, or ankle. So you can easily be seen at night. This is actually a useful safety device, a nice touch. If your tired of spending a lot on headlamps that fail eventually, this lamp makes sense.
