Donโt give up if the first one doesnโt work well. Try a second one. You wonโt be sorry.
I had to return the first one which couldnโt run power to the inside oval track nor could it run the barrel car or log car dumping. It also tripped its internal fuse every few seconds. Amazon instantly mailed me a new one even before they got my old one! The new one works beautifully. It powers both ovals and runs all accessories.

Great transformer for post war and modern trains
I really like this transformer. Only thing I can't get it to do is trigger the crew speech on my lionel railsound trains. Other than that it works great and handles all of my accessories and my vintage trains with ease.** Update **I now have 2 of these transformers and prefer them to the lionel CW-80 transformer I have. The lionel is now relegated to scenery power only. I connect these to original lionel tube track from the 50's as well as lionel fastrack. I recently purchased the MTH Remote Commander and it works awesome with this transformer. I could not be happier.

VERY SATISFIED!
This product works very well with our 1950's Lionel "O" series Train. Needed to replace the original transformer that came with the train because it was not pulling well - could only pull about five cars at a time at full power. This one works great and has plenty of power to easily pull all of the cars. Good value for the money.

Z1000 M.T.H. 100 Watt Transformer
I run American Flyer trains on two rail track. Even though this is for O Gauge it can be very simply hooked up to two trail track. I bought this since it is a "chopped sine wave" transformer which is what you need with the new electronics. It works well with the new Legacy American Flyer engines made by Lionel as opposed to the post war transformers that I use for my other American Flyer trains. Nice horn & bell and it includes a circuit breaker which is very important! Excellent value for the price!

Donโt buy anything made in China.
Absolute Chinese junk . Broke in less than two weeks.

Replacement for old American Flyer transformer
I used this as a replacement for an old American Flyer 15B transformer that no longer worked. It worked fine with an American Flyer 300AC locomotive, and also the auxiliary fixed voltage supply worked with the American Flyer mail car (to operate the solenoid that extends the arm to pick up the mail).

awsome would buy again ( lets hope I dont have to )
very powerful well done transformer and controller good price fast shipping and all of the above now the controller is a bit fragile so dont slip on ice and drop it by accident the little wire connectors can brake of easy and so fare I have not found an good fix, I just soldered the train power wire right on it and that worked great.
