This whole house water filter is easy to slip into the water filter housing. I like the two pack so that I always have a spare to use the next time the filter needs to be replaced, versus having to order a new one everytime.

Lasts a while and seems to be working great filtering the water

Aqua-Pure AP110 water filter serves the entire house and it cleans the water for 3 months before change. It does a great job to purify tap water to a nice refreshing taste, just like water should taste. It also remove the rust color that you normally see build up in toilet tank.

We live in a rural area and we have a well and the filter for our house needs changed about every six months because of our iron deposit and this filter works really well for the house filter quality is great nice size last long time

Good for home filtration

I've been using these filters for a few years now. I change them the same time I change the water filter in my refrigerator which is about every 3-4 months. I have to say that I am usually quite disgusted when I open the cartridge and remove the filter. I'm disgusted because the once pristine white filter will be brown/rust almost a blackish color from the dirt, rust, who knows what taken from the water by this filter. So, my disgust in what the filter catches equates to happiness in how the filter performs. In effect, I am also double filtering the drinking water that we use from the refrigerator. This filter is the first line of defense and the filter in the refrigerator is the final line. Please note, these filters will do nothing for you if you don't replace them regularly. A full filter will no longer catch sediment. For the same reasons the oil filter in your car needs to be replace, you must replace this filter as well. As indicated before, I replace the filter about every 3-4 months. If your whole house filter is in an inconvenient location, consider having a main house water line run up into your laundry area, a utility closet, or garage area. Put a shut-off valve on each side of the canister, and you have easy access to replacing your whole house filter, and, as a side benefit, you have an easy way to shut off the water to your house for extended trips or other emergencies like a broken hose to your dishwasher, for example.
