69-200 Super-Twist Magnum Gatorline String Trimmer Line .095-Inch Diameter x 50-Foot Donut

When I ordered this line, I was thinking how good can it be? Well, I can tell you it is very good. The strongest, long lasting line ever used.

I couldn’t be happier with this stuff. I’ve only ever used inferior trimmer line, so I guess I can’t comment on the other major, premium brands. But I bought this to go with my Ego trimmer, which is an absolute beast. The line that came with the trimmer looked pretty good, but I went through that pretty quickly. I use this Oregon trimmer line over the course of an afternoon using up a full 10ah battery on our property. I barely had to advance this line but a few times. And I was tackling very high brush that I thought I was gonna have to go get my brush cutter to take care of. I couldn’t believe how well it mowed it down and how little amount of line broke. I just couldn’t be happier with it. The fact that I wrote myself a note to take the time to review this should tell you how happy I am with it.

4-stars seems too high, but 3-stars is too low. If I could rate this at 3.5 stars, I would. My thoughts are as follows: Positives: (1) Value - you receive a lot of line for the price. (2) Durable - this line *generally* lasts longer (see one caveat under Negatives) than the previous brand that I bought ... it's 'softer/more flexible' so the tends do not snap off as easily when used cutting grass & weeds. Negatives: (1) Though called "Super-Twist", the 'twist' is very, very subtle with round corners. I wouldn't call it 'twist'. From past experience, I've found the 'twist' line cuts better b/c the twist I've previously purchased had sharp(er) corners and this line is very smooth. (2) Without a doubt, this line is thinner than other 0.095" line that I've purchased in the past (I compared it to the last two brands that I bought and this is definitely not as thick). (3) This line tends to prematurely break if it hits a rock. It is definitely less forgiving than other brands that I've purchased re: hitting a rock(s) or the edge of a sidewalk. In summary, this is really a mixed-bag of pros & cons. It's a great value, but for me the fact it is not a true twist (smooth edges), is thinner than advertised and is not forgiving when hitting a rock ... I won't be buying this again.

This without a doubt is the best trimmer line I’ve ever had the privilege to use. It survives in a very rocky environment at a level that I consider to be above and beyond.

The line is smaller in diameter than I first thought but it trimes better than any line I purchased before, Cannot go wrong with product

Great string! I use it my Stihl brand weed trimmer.

Works well enough, however it is not worth the energy spent dealing with the few complications. First, a pro - cuts weeds and grass well enough. No complaints there. Con - if your cutting around rocks or stone flower beds, this stuff gets worn downfast. Compared to a no name brand I bought a few years back, it doesn't handle those conditions. Price for amount is good, however you'll need the amount for the replacement time. Also, the binding seems to happen more often which slows the process. Just my experience. Certainly not a pro product.

Good performance on the SuperHandy leaf mulcher. Cuts finer than the supplied round line, and lasts longer. Even if I replaced the lines on every bulk bag (300 litres) of leaves, buying the 86m roll would cost 22p a bag at Nov 2025 price. It looks like the line will possibly do three bags, but definitely two. Slightly damp leaves gives a better result than dry leaves, with much less dust.
